Yuck!! I don't like eating raw tomatoes. There are people who really love to eat raw tomatoes. I even saw kids eating tomatoes like they eat apples? I know it is healthy to eat tomatoes, it is a complete vitamin C but I just can't do it. What about you? are you an eater of raw tomatoes?

Hi friend, i ate raw tomatoes from time to time. I like it with soy sauce and a little vinegar. It is really healthy some time i like it in my salad. Though i prefer grilled tomatoes more than the raw one. It is really juicy!!! You know I am weird at times with it comes to food or should i say i love eating a lot.

Sorry to gross you out, but yep, I sure am! I love a good ripe tomato, at least if it is right off of the vine. Because those are the best! Yum!
I have to admit when it comes to store bought it just isn't the same, so I tend to not eat it by itself. I will however add them to things like burgers if that's the only kind of tomato I can get at the time. I still prefer home grown though because they taste 100 times better and can even be eaten alone. They are that good! Happy mylotting!

Seeing the title of your discussion made me want to eat tomatoes now! Haha. I love eating raw tomatoes, even if I have to eat it like an apple. And of course, I love it with salty egg and green mangoes. And burgers and salads, too. Yummy! :)

                    Dear Bebs08,
Yes I like eat tomatoes whether eat the raw or cook one.
Tomatoes contains vitamin C that good for our skin and health.
Everyday in my menu I include tomatoes besides other vegetable or fruits.
It's a good food to eat and we can variety it in our menu wether put it on salad or cook it with meat, seafood or fish.
Besides that,we can made a juice too(tomatoes + orange + carrot + fresh milk)a healthy drink with a nice taste.
Regards,
fadyhalim

Yes Bebs, like many persons, I like to eat raw tomatoes very often! Most of the times, I take these by making salad with onion, cocumber, lemon, green chillies and corriander leaves. Raw tomatoes are good for health and can purifu one's blood more effectively and carry more antioxidants! During my purchase of vegetables I never skip to purchase these red tomatoes everytime!
Thanks for this nice topic and have good health from tomatoes!

Hi Bebs08, raw unripe tomato is in its greenish color. It turned to be a lovely red mixed with orange color when it's ripe. No wonder it is known as "love apple" as well. I have been eating raw potato since my childhood. I was one of those kids who loved to eat "love apple" when I was a little girl. It's delicious to me too when tomato is eaten after it's cooked. Yeah, I love both raw and cooked tomatoes
I was one of those kids who loved to eat "love apple" when I was a little girl. It's delicious to me too when tomato is eaten after it's cooked. Yeah, I love both raw and cooked tomatoes As what I have acquired from articles as well as studies online saying that eating tomatoes regularly with the required amount is good to our heart. The lycopene form cooked tomato could help us to to prevent cancer as well. Anyway these yet to be testified I suppose. I believe taking different types of vegetables often would benefit our health for sure.
Happy posting!

                             thanks for the BR Bebs08.
Here is another way we eat tomato. When I stirred fry the wet local noodle. I prepare both the mashed tomato potato. I add the required amount of them and stirred fry the noodle in wok with delicious ingredients like shrimp, etc added to it. The tomato paste makes the noodle taste a bit sour and the paste of potato turns the noodle to be sticky with yummy taste

Hello Bebs. I like to eat raw tomatoes, but I always slice it and add some white sugar for it to melt before I eat it. I love the way I eat it and it is tasty to me. I also like to eat it cooked with eggs or tomato egg soup. Tomato is one of my favorite food. Have a good day, Bebs.

Hi Bebs! I love eating raw tomatoes. Actually before I did not even know I could eat them raw but somebody's post here at mylot taught me that it could be eaten raw. That post made me curious about the taste of raw tomatoes so I tried eating and I liked it. I find it even better than ripe ones. So now whenever I buy tomatoes I would even choose the raw tomatoes. Raw tomato is crunchy so they are perfect on my vegetable salad.
Have a nice day!

In our country, tomatoes are not considered fruits but I know that in other cultures tomatoes are eaten raw the way they eat fruits. We do not do that in our country. Tomatoes are used like onions, garlic or as a spice. We slice it and use it to spice dishes. So we do not eat it raw. We cook it and some cultures find this funny because they do not cook tomatoes, they eat them directly without undergoing cooking.
