Hello friends, I told about my granddaughter winning the first prize in fancy dress competition, she was dressed as a bride. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2340157.aspx?p=0 Today the church people handed over the prize to her; it is a tricycle of bright orange-red color and one Barbie doll. She is now busy with her tricycle, I know she will do it for 3-4 days and next keep it aside. Here is picture of her with the tricycle. This she does with all her toys, dolls. She has many electronic toys that are remote operated, produce sound while moving. But her favorite is an old key board and an old computer mouse. Whenever I am here working on my PC or Laptop, she sits near me, occasionally she will press the keys on the key board, hence I gave her the old key board and mouse. Today I saw ad of a toy computer, it has key board, mouse and built in speakers, looks more like a Laptop. Using this, her mom can teach her the alphabet and simple words with spelling and pronunciation. Will it be useful? So what was your presentation to your kid/grandkids last? Does he/she play with it or keep aside after few days. Comment and share your views. Professor

First of all, I congratulate your granddaughter, Professor. She deserves it. She is really looking cute. My daughter too had participated in Fancy Dress competition and won Ist Prize. I was pleasantly surprised. She got a Certificate from the Principal and a pat from me. And believe it or not, I gave her exactly the same gift you have given to your granddaughter. She is very quick in learning and I am sure that she will a top my lotter very soon.

hi professor my kid is now 51 so it was a long time ago and I think it was a young person's record player but he loved it all through his early teens as he bought records of the classics for it. then of course he latched onto two used computers and two monitors at the place where he was working, his second job I believe and he worked those two computer putting in modern parts each year orso so that he and I have really modern computers now but need to update our windows 2000 to a more modern windows,I so wanted to give him computer during his late teens but we just did not have the money then.

Your granddaughter looks too cute on her new tricycle. However, you are absolutely correct about the way that children are when it comes to new toys and such. They are the greatest thing that they've seen for a few days and then it is like they are old news and they will only play with them occasionally. As far as the educational computers go for children, I think they are great. My daughter had one when she was younger and my son has one now that he is in the preschool years. They love them and it makes them happy.

That happen to me always. My children always wish to have expensive toys. After playing some days they leave then in a corner. As i run a home child care center i find it not so bad. I can use them for my job. but nowadays I find it to difficult to affort to new toys. My daughter is 10 year old. Still She doesn't understand the hardships of the parents.

Children are very fresh. A big gift of the nature. I think they are never wrong. most of the time I let the children to behave on their way. but i always be with them to protect then from accidents and dangers. I see your granddaughter in the photo. She is sooooo sweet. If you don't mind visit my blog in my profile. There I wrote nothing new. But I just remember important things for parents. Happy myloting.
