The life without an internet

I have spent about 2 days now away from the internet. Not because I wanted to stay off it, but simply because I am forced to keep my silence about it. Due to the financial problems we have been having for about a few months now (I need not explain further because it still pains me), finally the internet has been cut-off due to unpaid bills. I know I could mope around and cry about it but I guess there are some things in life you can not have control of. Good think that tonight I am able to borrow a wifi connection from a neighbor with a netbook that has been left behind by a friend (I don't know if it was intentional or not). Now, the usual routine of going online when I wake up and just about spending the whole time online just stopped and honestly I am not taking the changes too well. At first, I was angry but now I'm somewhat alright. I guess, like any form of addiction, there is a 'withdrawal' syndrome for internet addicts such as myself. I honestly don't think that life should be such cruel for someone who's addiction doesn't cause much problems. Anyway, now that I am done moping about such and the borrowed internet connection is starting to falter (perhaps the owner feels that I have outlived my welcome), I leave now with one question: Do you honestly think you could still live without the internet? What occasions have you experienced where you thought you'd be depressed or something because something that has formed part of you routine was suddenly taking from you? What was that routine or something? P.S. I don't have a stable internet connection, thus I may not have the leisure to read and respond to all your thoughts, but rest assured that I am grateful that you came over this topic and shared your thoughts.

I cannot stay without internet because life without internet is boring and all the works that we were doing through the internet.I have a habit of sending mail and charting with friends and it is done through internet only.If we have internet we were able to know the thing that were happening around the world so we should keep in touch with internet.

I am struggling so much because of no connection at home. It's driving me nuts. It's affecting my work as well and I can't seem to be productive anymore.

Hello laydee, maybe if i had a job right now, i would. but probably if i did i would never know mylot but probably as long as you have a job, it's gonna go well for you. I am sure nothing else to do with out internet connection, except doing house chores and taking care of my pets.for me, as long as i can connect with mylot then i will take my time but if don't then i will do house chores.

Having no internet isn't the only thing that is missing in my life. I am struggling to heal my heart and without the internet to distract me, I have no means of healing (even if it's drastic) each night.

the Internet - The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by a broad array of electronic and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a vast array of information resources and services, most notably the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail.
Hello laydee. The Internet is part of my life, without which life is not as interesting and informative. I use the Internet every day. When I work, I don't use it, but after coming back home from my office, I use it a lot to communicate with my friends, check emails, read online news, watch movies and so on. It can be very frustrating without the connection to the Internet. I am so sorry that you do not have a stable Internet connection for the time being, but I wish you to have a stable one soon. Good luck with you, friend.

she is still blessed, better not stable than no internet connection at all. at least laydee can still post here and communicate with us. what's hard is that doing internet in the cyber-cafes which are very expenses and limited use of internet.

There are great things out there, so much greater than what the online world has. In my situation, though, internet is my only window to the outside world because I stay home from Mondays to Fridays and only go out during weekends for my classes. Internet is very important. I utilize it for my studies, as well as for socializing. But there should be a perfect balance of everything, and that depends on your lifestyle.

for those who had grown up with an internet connection or has been addict to it is going to be hard to cope. but for some like i do, i can still live happily even without internet. maybe ill be missing some stuffs but i can handle it. ill just find other things that fits to my interest where i can enjoy and earn as well. life is not all in the internet for me, if you can find friends in the internet then why not in real life coz it'll be more fun, earning in the net? hey, you can still earn out there and its much more fun than in the net, i tell you!

I think it is still possible to live without internet. I also sometimes get my internet connection cut because of unpaid bills, but I just have a problem for a day or two. If you are working and are busy the whole day, having internet somehow does more harm than good cos you come back home and the first thing you do is check mail, go online and chat withe friends (in my case). When I didnt have internet, I noticed that I was more active by participating in family affairs and doing somethings that I love, listen to music, read books and develop my hobby of photography. Humans survived without internet and humans will survive without internet. It is not a necessity. It's just a means of socializing sitting at home. I would refer going out and enjoying than sitting at home in front a screen.. bourne

You are not alone my friend. I've become addicted to the internet ever since I started earning thru it. I can't imagine life without it but I think they will also cut our connection soon for the unpaid balance XD Hence, I'm trying to venture into something new, fun, more enjoyable addiction - haha how come, it would be like an INTENTIONAL addiction??? O.o

as to the use of internet for research, i think i can live without it, what's the use of library anyway? but as to social networking sites which undeniably became a part of every internet savvy's life already, i don;t think i can manage to live without the connection. =)
