Tell me ten things about you . . . be creative!

It’s easy to define ourselves with common factors like our career, our age, or where we live. But what makes an individual tick? The quirks in our personality define a far more individual creature, yet I have no doubt that we are all connected. Carbon is the most common element in our universe, and we are made of the same stuff as the stars in the sky. These are ten things about me. What about you? Let your creativity roam. I eat peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches on twelve grain bread. I never watch television. I collect rocks and have over 100 of them, their weight ranging from less than an ounce, to forty pound boulders. I’m a vegetarian. Thirteen steps lead to my apartment. I only like prime numbers. Dean Koontz is my favorite author, because he writes about the universe in ways I agree with. I have a granddaughter and a grandson, but inside, I’m still twenty years old. I believe we create our own universes with our thoughts and perceptions. People call me eccentric and I like it. It's your turn now.

Here are ten things about me: 1) I'm a workaholic person. 2) I love challenges. 3) I love both being a career woman, wife and Mom. 4) I used to smoke way back in College but stopped after 2 years. 5) I used to drink a lot as in everyday and party a lot when I was in College but stopped after 4 years to practice clean and healthy living. 6) I hate taking vitamins and medicines. 7) I'm not fond of watching t.v. programs. 8) I hate going to movie house alone. I have not tried it yet. 9) I hate traveling alone. I also have not tried it yet. 10) Integrity is very important for me.

Hi Ladyslipper, You sound like a powerful woman! I'm with you on #6, but I have to. Happy to see #7, at least there's more than one me in the world. The only consolation for #8 is that once it begins the room is darkened, and no one knows you're alone. I've never tried either. I'm afraid to eat in a restaurant alone. Well, not afraid, more like nervous. Traveling alone is fun, just make sure you stick to major highways in case you have car trouble. Hold on to #10; you're just what this crazy world needs. There's so little of it in mainstream. Be kind to yourself.

Hi Anawar, Good day to you! We have the same situation on #6. Though I hate taking vitamins and medicines I also have to specially that I'm currently pregnant. :) Just like you I also don't like eating in a restaurant alone. Another thing I'd want to add is that I hate going to coffee shop alone. I want to have my cup of coffee with friends or my hubby while having good conversation. I have one friend though who loves going to coffee shop alone to read her novels their while sipping her favorite coffee. The reason I don't want to try traveling alone is because I'm a person who always wants a company. I get bored easily when I don't get to talk to anyone specially during travel. I'm very talkative. Lolz! I'm really holding tight to #10 because it's something I've learned from my parents and something I'd want my children to learn too.

Talkative to those who enjoy talking. Happy to enjoy the simple things in life. Careful enough to watch what I eat. Not bothered by the latest trends. Not so old but young at heart. Not so slim but not fat either. Just right as long as I continue walking a lot. Not cute but my wife thinks so. Carries a water bottle around to cool my head off. Works hard on what would work smart. Brave enough to have faced life bravely.

Hi tomitomi, It sounds like you're at home in your world, comfortable and sensible. I bet people really enjoy talking with you. Thanks for the laugh on #8. If #8 is true, then your life is complete. What more can you ask for? LOL I'm still thinking about #10. Makes me wonder what you've had to face, or if you're just being your affable self? You're a wonderful addition to the world!

Hi anawar! Glad I made you laugh. I love to. When people are at ease it makes talking with them fun and easy. It's true I always carry a water bottle around. It cools my body and my head. Why do you think that would be complete? For #10 - I'm trying very hard to know my boss better. Whatever I do doesn't seem to please her. But instead of leaving the job I'm adamant to stay and prove her wrong. I'm actually amazed with your rock collection. I salute you. And thanks!

Hatley, well, it's been awhile since I was on mylot, and I've no idea what a poll question is. I meant this to be a fun chance to express ourselves and learn funny quirks about each other. Oh well, best intentions and all that . . . I can't believe anyone other than me loves rocks. I have some crystals in my collection, but mostly they're just rocks I found that spoke to me. Wish I lived in S. California, but am glad I'm not in a retirement home. Although, my parent's place is like a resort. Your son is two years younger than me.

hello anawar! I see myself as the girl next door type although many people say i'm kind of mysterious sometimes and has a contradicting personality too.. 1.i am 36 years old but often mistaken as 25 or 26 (baby face, little girl's voice) 2. i still watch cartoons 3. i love to read, watch movies & crochet 4. i collect small rocks with varied colors and shapes (just love to look at them) 5. i am afraid of the dark but i love horror movies, horror stories 6.i am very courageous & has a high tolerance for pain but i can't stand small wounds & blood, i usually faint at the sight of it 6. i am an introvert most of the time, preferring my own company but i can also be tyhe life of the part 7. i'm a daydreamer and often get lost in it and enjoy it 8. i have a very vivid imagination which had put me into & out of trouble in the past 9. i like eating sashimi 10. i'm addicted to coffee (down at least 7 large mugs in a day).

Hi deriellevc, Wow! #10 would have me climbing the ceilings. I'm sort of an energetic person and don't need much stimuli to get into trouble. People always mistake my age; isn't it fun? #8 - at least it works both ways; I'd be interested in some of those stories, but that would be a different discussion. I think you're a lovely mixture of contradictions and quirks that make you a fascinating woman.

Hi noslenandval, Very cool #1. The clothes in style now are so unoriginal and boring I rarely buy anything. Luckily, I find a piece here and there that keeps my wardrobe looking somewhat posh. Some people say "pink is the new black." Hmm on #5. Sounds very mysterious. Everyone will agree with #7, that's for sure. #9 - I am fan of same. Not many people will want to know about #6. Many of us struggle with weight management. Lucky you! LOL I like #10 as well, but don't get enough of it to be called anything. Well, keep enjoying #4 and #8.

I love historical TV shows but I don't watch them off TV(i prefer internet,it's much easier and don't need to wait). There are more actress than actors whom i got a crush on. My favorit food are chichen soup with noudles & CRUNCHIES. I'm a christian, but it's been half a year that i didn't went to church. Somethimes i just lie there and imagine myself travaling through time, sometimes i'm a chevalier in midleage, sometimes i'm a rich bussiness woman in the early 20's. There is a book that i've read 74 times and yet i still cant tell what the whole story was about, guess it was because i always jump between chapters, it was a well writen book par exemple. I finished my high school in french I don't like wearing makeups, but i do use lip gloss I once ate dog soup (there i got ya) I don't like japanesse, yet i'm a fun of their products. I've got a full collection of the sims, from 1 to 3

Ok, it's my trun now. First, I'm Chinese. I like singging. My favorite singer in the world is Boa. I like doing puzzles. People think that I'm a little bit out of control because they can't imagine what I'm going to do next. My voice sounds like a child although I'm already 23 years old but I'm born with it. My favorite movie is Twilight. I'm working as a translator now. I'm not a vegetarian but I prefer vegetable to meat. People regard me as a cool person by appearance while actually I'm very friendly and I like to make friends with different people.

Hi Ibbaby - Oh, #5 certainly adds intrigue to your description. There's nothing wrong with sounding young. People will learn to move beyond their (mis)perceptions as you mature and enter the business world. Knowing someone like you would be a privilege. I'll bet people easily relate to you, especially in your role as a translator. (One of my dreams was to be a translator for The United Nations. Oh well.) I'm in total agreement with #10; you're clearly aware of who you are in this world. Good for you!

Yes, this is true! Quirks? Okay! Here goes: 1. I used to eat mustard and peanutbutter sandwichs when I was young and even got my dad to eat one once. 2. I have the tv on all the time but don't realy 'watch it' much. 3. I used to collect rocks when I was little. I kept them in a coffee can under the bed. 4. I set up a fake profile and persued a man I like on another site once. He found out and became angry. He is very sweet when I am young and cute but won't even return my emails when I am my real self. Move on I am thinking. 5. I took riding lessons for about two months once. 6. I am ALONE 85% of my life. 7. I have no pets!! 8. I am shy, humble and reclusive. 9. I use to have a cat I called 10 dogs!! 10. I would love to get on the back of Harley Davidson motorcycle with a handsome certain someone and ride into the sunset. So, how about that?
