I'm currently preparing for my board exams which will be in august (1more month yikes!) I've tried studying at home, in the library and in different coffeeshops. When at home I easily get distracted even when I lock myself in my room without any television privileges haha I then tried studying in the library but when i see classmates we all get excited and talk talk talk . Coffeeshops I finally found is perfect for studying the smell of fresh coffee and the intresting people who come in keep me awake. So the question is do you like studying at coffeeshops too?hope to read some intresting comments :)

from where i come from, coffeeshops are quite different from the portrayed coffeeshops that one sees in american films. coffeeshops here became the new hub for get togethers. they are the squeezed, coffee-smelling, smaller version of restaurants with smaller menu. i also know that when you are inside the coffeeshops here there would be unending storytelling, get together chats, hi-hellos conversations and picture taking. if i were a student, i guess i wouldn't even finish a half-page even if i want to because other people are the distractions. am glad that you found your nice spot for studying. i hope no one invades your little space. ;-)

Isn't it noisy studying in coffeeshops?I don't think its nice idea to study there because the people that goes in and out will catch your attention and you can't concentrate on studying

Hi, drumgurl Yes, I like studying in coffeeshops. I used to do that when I was reviewing for my exam too. I like sitting at a small table where coffee and food will be served anytime I ask I also like the fact that you can hang in those shops for as long as you like just as long as you order coffee or food every now and then. Of course, when it gets too crowded, like after office hours, I had to leave because then I would get easily distracted. Good luck on your board exams!

It really depends on the person actually. If you are used to study in that certain place, so that will be the most comfortable to study. But for me, I prefer not to study in coffee shops because there are more distractions for me there. It has more noise, more cutomers that you'll get easily distracted. I would like to study in the house, but of course I really have to focus and avoid whatever that will distract me. Or I'll inform my housemates that I need to study so they can avoid making noise and disturbing me.

nope, i prefer to study alone at my own rooms. I prefer place which not noisy and crowd. So, coffee shop probably will not suit me. However, if it is about meeting some people or friends, coffee shop might be best choice because we will spend lot of time for long talk there.

Personaly, I LOVE coffee shops, because very few people I know go there, and the people that do regularly frequent them, respect the fact that I am doing work, because thats what they are probably there to do aswell! So yes, I do think that coffee shops can be a good place to study. Besides: Caffene can help you focus.

I like studying or writing in coffeeshops. Sometimes it helps me to have people around me when I study or work on one of my stories. I like listening to the sounds around me and watching the people who come and go. I often like to have people around me, but it depends on the situation of course. If there is a lot of noise I find it hard to work and hard to concentrate, but if the place isn't too noisy I like studying there. I also love coffee, so it is a nice combination

I see people studying in Starbucks every time i go in their and honestly i can't seem to figure it out. With people constantly coming in and out of the doors i would find it hard to consintrate on my work. When it comes to studying, i like to save it for at home where im in a very comfortable setting and i don't have to worry about inturruptions. Besides the caffine in coffie makes it harder for me to study :P
