I don't know how many of you have many feathered friends in their garden. We have loads of them and so many different varieties. We have several nesting boxes and have a couple of families of bluet1ts, here is a picture of a couple of the babies as they are learning to feed themselves! I love watching these birds, how about you!!

We do not have them in cages but they always come in our garden infact there are many trees in the garden and they are there only, so I can see the small ones and when their mothers take them downstairs to it then this is a sight to see as they are wonderful, their mother feed them and this is beautiful.

I love watching them, but some of them are so lazy!! The babies are bigger than their mums and still scream for food!! Here is a picture of one of our mum's feeding their baby

No matter, I can understand what you are saying. I have also seen small birds screaming all along while their mother is collecting food for them, sometimes this is annoying when I listen to them most of the day so I ask my mother if ever the babies will grow up and eat by themselves!

My favorite wildbird to watch (other than the ravens, of course) are the juncos. They are just so sweet! When we were still in Alaska, I tried to put out birdseed for them. It was so much fun watching them flit about. Great photos, OC.

A junco is a little sparrow with the males having a black cap. They have cute little round bodies and they flit all over the place. Very cute. You can see a picture at this url: http://www.rarebird.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2839 They are just adorable!

My daughter had a bird, not sure what kind it was, but it built a nest in one of her flower pots. She got to watch the eggs hatch and the little ones fly away. She told her husband just look at that, they leave the nest in 10 days and we keep ours for 18 years!!!! My daughter n law, had a robin build a nest outside the granddaughters bedroom window so they were able to watch it. I have barn swallows that build their nest on the electric tube on our patio roof. They sure didn't appreciate us walking in and out of the basement! They would swarm us all the time.. It was fun watching how big the little ones got, seemed to be gigger then their nest. They have all left home now. well, thats our bird stories.

Robins are famous for building their nests in all sorts of strange places, I think they are really cute.

I have garden with pine and guava tree in there. There are many birds make their nest. I don't like birds so much. However, I just let them there. They live and breed there without fear. Sometimes I see their nestling fall down. I always pick up them to the tree. I don't enjoy them but I don't feel bothered at all.

We enjoy feeding the birds but as we live in town we only seem to get sparrows and starlings. I envy you getting all these different types of birds.
