alright welcome everyone. i am a hebrew child (not jewish) and in my culture, the word for love means to be "selfless". love has nothing to do with a relationship between male and female-per se. but it is something to be shared with all life, even ants, and bees, and trees and rocks, basicly anything which has breath must be respected because the same one who gives humans breath gives breath to ALL creatures. that being said...i have a hard time accepting people saying "making love" or "falling" in love and the like, because in my eyes...love is shared from the moment the child leaves the womb with its mother, and such a loving mindset grows from there. what do you say about these things? what is your view on love? is it just with a person or is your heart open to share it with all creatures?

My view of love is it is a feeling that no one could ever explain its existence. Even scientists cannot explain why there is love and what made of it. Only God knows.

science leaves god and love out of the equation..because all that i know god to really stand for is love. but if science would speak of love, they would have to include all life is precious...yet they have food chains and many hierarchies into thinking that man is at the top of the list, and then on top of that list is the european. so they can never see love for what it is. they are too busy looking at appearances and the material to understand anything greater than what their eyes can see.

I have to say, I agree on that part that we should respect every living thing and that love indeed is shared from the moment the child is born. All I can say about love, though, is that there are simply different types. There is love for a relative, love for a person such as boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife, love for something (like an action or something not defined as a he or a she but an it)... sort of like that. No matter what type though, its just being attracted to whatever you feel love towards for whatever reason. A feeling of either wanting to be with the person or wanting to do something (love for science, art, whatever). Its too hard to explain when asking such a vague question friend, lol. ^.^

I think love is life... every life like you say. Even if we are single or an orphan, we all have love inside of us and we always carry it around. When we meet other people or animals or things, we can share that with each other, but I don't think it is created or something you fall into either. It may get enhanced or more 'feel-able' but it is already within, I think.
