America has produced many thinkers like, Norman Vincent Peale, Dr. Joseph Murphy, John mason, Henry Carnige, Wayne Dyer and the list goes on...What is the difference between their thinkers and thinkers of other countries?

I think a lot of it has to do with the freedoms we enjoy in this country and the high level of education many people achieve. But at the same time I have found that there are great thinkers in other countries as well...and great humanitarians. Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi come to mind as well as Golda Meir. Great people, great leaders and I believe highly intelligent.

That was quick. But if you notice people who are great thinkers just had basic formal education. Eg: one of them was Bob Procter.

Okay, I'm going to show my ignorance and ask...who is Bob Procter? There were other names in your list that I've never heard of, too. Perhaps it's my basic education. lol The problem with talking about great thinkers is that they are usually not that well known among the general populace...you have to have more than a basic education to learn about them.

P.S. In fact, the ONLY name on your list that I recognize is Norman Vincent Peale - and that only because he's a famous pastor.

I too had never heard of all these names a year ago. I read my first book by Dr. Joseph Murphy, the power of your subconscious mind. I was so inspired by this book that the started searching for such authors and came across all these people.
