When I was joining a diploma course in Kamala Nehru Girls' Polytechnic, Hyderabad (your place), in the beginning I wanted to join civil engineering course. Later my father told me that commercial practice will be ideal for girls and it was a last minute decision. It was very helpful to me till my retirement.

same pinch ha ha ha, But I finished in the year 1966. I stood first in the college and got gold medal. That time there were only two polytechnics, one in Hyd and another in Kakinada I think. I stood second in State. They are all my sweet nostalgic memories. I am happy you are also Diploma in Commercial Practice.

thank you Buchi_bulla, infact that decision is also 11th hour decision. After 10th i joined immediately in Intermediate where all my friends joined. But this Polytechnic entrance test results will come little bit late, i only got the seat to join the polytechnic among my friends i don't want to loose them so i was not interested to join, because of my dad interest in joined in polytechnic college DCP course on the last date. I even happy to hear that you stood second in state and you are a gold medalist.

I have been in situations where a decision had to be made and it was left until the last minute. My husband and I are not very good with choices of any sorts so we both tend to decide at the last minute but when we do it is usually from the gut and we have not gone wrong too often, not about the major things anyway!

You tell me! My father is forever the last moment - rather somebody else has to coerce him. If we try to bring up the topic before - in time - to thrash it out and take a decision he starts getting annoyed. I hated this roller coaster ride. He signed away his ancesteral properties through GPA just because he was educated without collecting the sale price, sold away my mamma's properties, never saved for retirement saying I would look after him, spent lavishly didnt have a house, spent on cars, of course somebody pays price. I happened to be the one.

i don't mind making those sort of decisions as long as i am well informed of the relevant factors of the situation.. i can't make an un-informed decision that i may not know for what i'm actually taking responsibility for with my decision..
