She sang it according to the standard I think? She did make any deviation to the song. I'm proud of her. What do you think?

I think so too! I even thing P-Noy sorta got teary-eyed while she was singing the National Anthem! I'm so proud of her too! She's so young, talented, very accomplished and to top it off, I haven't heard any single negative comment about her attitude. Her mum raised her well! Hats off too Charice! She really did good. She learned from her mistakes and did her best to perfect the song. NHI actually congratulated her for singing the National Anthem correctly, properly and PERFECTLY! loveeeeet!

SHe has gone a long the way but i hope one day Arnel Pineda would do the same. these are one of the best singers but at least have them follow the proper tune of Lupang Hinirang

@LetranKnight25 I do hope that those criticized by NHI will follow Charice. She's so humble and took it upon herself to correct her mistakes. Though being an artist means having your own style, conforming to certain things surely are great to. Prominent people, especially an internationally acclaimed artist like her should sing our anthem right. Our people should know the right tune and the people around the world should know it too. @winstonyee both Arnel Pineda and Jovit have great voices but I think Charice was the best choice there is. She is a very talented kid. She really made her and our country famous. She made us proud to be Filipinos.

I watched the inauguration and yes, Charice didn't deviate from the standard. I guess it's because there are already numerous complaints about how it is being sung. Even though it's the standard way of singing it, it was still sang beautifully.

Yes I totally agree with you. I like it especially the last part. It was not that high but it was very full ang strong. ^_^

I like how she sang it, I think it was her and Kyla who had rendered a very good singing of the anthem.

For me the credit should not only go to Charice but most importantly to the one who did the arrangement of the song. Singers just perform what has been arranged and for that, I give thumbs up more to Mr. Cayabyab than to her.

She sang it well, no hitting high notes. Ruffa says it's flawless and effortless. She should be a role model for other future Philippine Anthem singer. Great Job!

Yes she really did a great job. Before I am not OK with the standard note that should be followed because it means that there was no freedom in expressing the national theme. But now I agree with that standard because a singer can sing that song beautifully even without hitting a very high note. Thumbs up for Charice! ^_^

Yes you can watch it on youtube. Just a correction on my note "She did NOT make any deviation". I did not review my note when I posted it sorry... ^_^

Well I guess she could nto do that since she is actually here in the Philippines and deviating from the original tone would mean that the National Historical commission can actually file charges against her if she deviates against it. And being in a formal ocassion I guess that would be inappropriate for her to do so.

Charice Pempengco did a great performance. Her rendition of the Lupang Hinirang may be upbeat but there was no changes in the tune. I am also very proud of her. She's a great artist.

Hello there, yeah, I've heard i believe she can't afford to screw things up since this is the INAUGURATION of President Noy and she can't afford to be criticized by the National History Institute now in our own land I've always been proud of her most specially she gets to sing the Philippine national Anthem. by the way. here's another interest for the President only not a referral link http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2346608.aspx

She is not my idol but I am really proud of her that she sang it successfully according to the standard or rules with a great pride as a Filipino. I like her background that was composed by Ryan Cayabyab. For sure I am going to listen all over again because of the background music.

Yes, she sang the national anthem well. She stuck to the rhythm and melody, no words missed, no flats nor sharps. She sang the way we sang it ordinarily during flag ceremony, but her rendition was still beautiful. I guess now we know who should sing for the next Pacquio match, if there would be one ;)
