Do you keep a personal diary?

Hello everyone... I'm sure everyone has some moments that are extremely private to them. Do you keep a personal diary where you write your everyday activities? Or, do you have a personal diary just to download your extremely exhilarating or blue moments? I maintain a journal. I don't write in it everyday. I pen down my very jubilant or depressing feelings in it; and by the time I've written down everything that's in my mind, I feel much lighter. Do you have a personal diary? Do you use it for recording your everyday activities; or to unburden your emotions?

I've been keeping a journal since I was on 5th grade. I'm 26 years old now and I still have a journal, although, today, I have a personal blog site instead of an actual notebook/ journal. I don't make a journal entry everyday. To me, a journal is your private time with your thoughts and emotions. It's the time when I can pour out all my thoughts and feelings without worrying about what other people would say. I guess, a journal does help you feel better. It happens to me all the time. After writing an entry, I feel like I've cleared my mind of confusing thoughts and conflicting feelings, then I can think clearly. I remember writing a blog entry similar to this discussion, although on that entry, I was thinking about what people get from keeping a personal blog. You might like to read it. :) http://musesonair.com/2010/06/20/blog-o-rapy/

Before when I was only 18 years old I kept that diary for like 4 years... And then suddenly I stopped when my brother read it. I was so upset and I never trusted my secrets with a pen and paper anymore so I just decided to stop doing it keep my secrets with me and burn it. I hate people who dont respect other people's privacy.

I've never been any good at those "personal thoughts and feelings." The closest thing I've ever had to a journal is called "MyLot"... THANKS mylot!!!

I have a diary and I like to write about my thoughts, my feelings and my experiences. In some periods of my life I write every day or almost every day, and in other periods I only write once or twice a month or less. When there are a lot of new things in my life for instanse if I have just started a new relationship, a new job, a new course etc I tend to write more often. I also write when I am depressed or when I have problems, and it is often a help for me to express my thoughts that way.

I have a personal diary which I maintain from school days, its very sweet to read all those days again after many years. I had started writing from my school days and maintented till first job and there after its gone. I have that diary but do not write now. I have written my job journey till date but stopped writing other things such as a nice meeting or any interaction.

I do keep a journal. I call in a journal, but it's really a notebook I keep with me all the time. I write pretty much everything in it, from schedules, to appointments to notes, to tasks. Pretty much anything goes in there. I do find a lot of opportunities to write thoughts and record events. I used to have journals or diaries way back when I was a lot younger. I had to get rid of those because they were mostly negative, and I wasn't proud of myself as I was writing. Whatever I write in my journals, I hope to have them published in some form or another.

I don't keep a personal diary. I wrote the diary for some time when I was a high school student. Since the busy study and other things, I didn't keep on it. Besides, I am afraid one day my diary will be found or read by accident. So I don't keep a diary at all. I love China

I keep an everyday journal. And yes, I do write in it everyday. Even if nothing really happened. I like to keep a record of events and record what I'm feeling and why that is. I find it very therapeutic. I like going back and reading over entries where I was having a tough time because now I can smile and know that I made it out alright.

Good day to you megsshere, Before when I was still a student, I used to have a personal diary. However, as I grow old and busy with the chores and things in life, there was a time that I cannot update the diary anymore. Sometimes, I do and sometimes I dont open it to write. And now, since internet is widely spread, I think, I can go for a blog. As the days goes by, I decided to create a blog. Wherein, I treat this as my diary, but, not for the too personal stories. I created it for some secrets that I want to divulge to others in order for me to share some beatitudes. Aside from that, I created thi blog for me to share some simple knowledge to common people, the middle ones. Nevertheless, there are times, if I feel a little low or want to unburden myself from some issues of life, this blog serves as my writing pad to create a poem or story, asking why life is like this and like that.

I only have blogs where I type everything I have in mind. Presently I have a total of four blogs so I can always go there to unload everything. I do not keep something like a notebook diary. I only have blogs which serve as my catch-all of idea and feelings.

No i don't keep a personal diary. I always count on my friend to know everything about me and he knows a lot more than me myself. I don't have much personals because i am like a frank guy and whatever comes in my mind i don't keep it in much i just say it to whomever it concerns. Personal diary i think mostly girls keep. Do you keep one? i think you do...

Yes, I used to have a personal diary, I used to write there about myself and therefore I could see myself better, but along the time I stopped writing there and now I write very seldom. But I do remember that it somehow helped, now when I look at what I've written, it makes me wonder and explore myself better.

I also have a journal. Like you, I don't write in it everyday. I just write down big events in my life or in the world like a big date, vacations, family events, the economy, elections, the olympics, etc. Emotionally its like a good stress reliever but it will also hopefully remind me of things that I experienced when I've long lost my memory. lol.

I do have a journal in my keeping. I already have four full journals that I've written on for the past twelve years. It's very therapeutic and fun also. I glue cutouts from old magazines, photos and stickers. I even glued on a candy wrapper from the candy an old crush gave me, even a poll watchers ID from a past election. I laugh at my own writings like crazy. It was like my own biography of social boo-boos and household anomalies, LOL!

I keep a journal, not everyday, but really to unburden my emotions. Or sometimes, since I am religious, I will write down my thoughts after I pray. I also have a livejournal account that I turn to in times that my real journal isn't around me to write in. :)
