How do you think did the Brazil failed against the Netherlands?

I think Brazil played brilliantly yesterday but the netherland team were just better. Felipe Melo played well in the first half but on the second half he was a disaster. An own goal and a red card. On the other hand Sneijder played very well and scored a goal for the netherland team. Do you think that it will be better if they should have let Ronaldinho or Adriano play in the world cup? What do you think? What should have they done to win the game?

Felipe Melo was the hero of the Netherlands... LOL! because of his mistakes! it was a very disappointing match for Brazil... it's ok Braza, give chance to others to win the Cup!

I guess that's on way to look at it. I still wanted them to win though.

Lol! I agree with you kizkie2k. Felipe Melo is a hero for the Netherlands but a disaster for the Brazil. It would be better if he will not show up to the fans any more. It would be best if he'll transfer to another place.

They just did not play well on the day. The Netherlands are a very good team, winning all their group games, so it was always going to be a tough game. It would have been a hard match with 11 men so with a player sent off they struggled.

The Dutch played very well but Brazil still did not play up to the standard they usually do. Losing one man to penalties was really uncalled for and didn't help the team much either.

I agree...he played an important role in creating Robinho`s goal, but after his mistakes( own goal), Brazil looked panic, and it got even worse after Holland led 2-1 and Melo got frustrated because he really wanted to contribute to fix his mistake, but what happened was he was sent off.Well, maybe Brazil was unlucky enough on this cup, same like four years ago. People expected Brazil to win against"team of veteran" (France) on the QF 4 years ago, but what happened was we saw how Zidane played brilliantly and Ronaldinho was harshly criticized for the loss.Sneijder is great, excellent!!

Well its really shocking to see Brazil getting out of the race. But dutches played exceptionally well, so all credit goes to them. May be Brazil was just a bit over confident and that has caused disaster for them. I guess so, if Ronaldinho or Andriano was in the team, it would be really better.

i think the reason behind this is overconfidence of brazil and patience of netherland.......when the first half was over brazil played second half with overconfidence ...they didn't tried very hard to make another goal....they thought we are gonna win easily.....and on the opposite side netherland played very nicely they just kept control on their mind just not to lose hope.....and they won the game....and of course they must have worked hard to win that game...i was also disappointed because i was supporting brazil....but netherland worked hard so they won the game

I was really disappointed in Brazil. They seemed to start out ok but as the game progressed they seem to have lost their teamwork and became individuals instead of a "TEAM". I was surprised at how badly they played in the second half. You are right, the coach should have put "Adriano" in and things may have been different. they still would have to have worked as a team though. Another thing I noticed and the announcer mentioned it too was the ball. I noticed all the teams were having trouble with it going high on shots taken from a distance. Another thing was the officials really were "BAD". Some of the calls they made throughout the tournmant have been terrible don't you think so?

Yes, they self destructed is my analysis. The first goal they conceded was a crucial moment as till that time the Brazilians were toying with the Dutch. Then the goal happened thanks to a mis communication between Julio Cesar and Melo. After that Brazil became a bit jittery and Sneijder took advantage and scored the second. Brazil would have mounted a better fightback, but for the stupid sending off of Melo. I think he has to take the blame of letting his team down by getting himself sent off!! Cheers! Ram

zhaopao13, I feel that the Brazilians actually played into Holland's play acting and just lost their cool in their crucial encounter match. Like I have said in many other forums that the game of today is being marred by the play acting of players and error referee calls. Well, last night we just saw the Robben and company playing out every known acts in the game and the Brazilians like Robinho just did not help but actually heighten the emotions within the team. The Brazilians should return the act to Holland and could have played more with their heads. I mean let's not forget that all of the Brazilians are no stranger to play acting and yet they just did not do it. I have to say that the outbursts from Robinho was just unnecessary and has a negative effect for the team at the end of the day. At the end of the day, Holland just had lady luck on their side and taking their 2 chances well - just deserved to be the winner. Like every soccer match - anything can happen when the ball is round.

I think a player who responsible to all brazil's goals is felipe melo. He has failed to pressing sneijder while the second goal was happened and while first goal has happened he shouldn't inhibiting julius caesar. And then he made a fatal mistake by tackling robben to get red card.
