what you will choose, the job that gives you more money (the job that offer high salary but not related to your degree/college education) or the job that enable you to use your knowledge and education but offer less compensation?

In most situations I would choose a job where I can use my knowledge, because that is far more interesting and challenging than having a job where I am only working for the money, but in some situations I have to think about the money. If I have financial problems or if I am saving up for something special I would choose a job with a high salary. I love working with people, and in the past I have worked in nursing homes, kindergardens, homes for people with special needs etc. I love that kinds of jobs, but I don't earn that much money, and there have been times in the past where I have had to take other kinds of jobs (higher paying jobs)

well of course in the real world, you would choose something that will be easier for your life so its the high paying job. studying for college so you can earn after you finished.

Well i would at first go to a job that would enable me to use my knowledge so that i can maximize my mind there and when i have learnt everything all the companies had t offer then i might switch jobs and go to another place or i would just open up my own place. I do not wish to be rich because i have almost everything i can. I only want to learn as much as i can. I prefer jobs which give me mental peace.

hi there, Now days due to financial crisis, i'll go for having a job that is not related to my profession and got paid high than practicing my profession but less compensated. we all have our needs and want's in our lives and if we are not compensated then we wont meet our basic needs. This is also applicable to people who are married they'll do anything just to make money and feed their family..

When I got my degree, I wanted to land on a job where I was trained to, I was prepared to do in school. As the years passed, I wanted to have a higher salary. Financial contentment was a priority. So I attended seminars and conferences to prepare me for it. I got financially stable. But as I grew more matured, priorities in life begin to change. I want to do jobs inclined to my advocacy. Maybe that is my career path.

I think for the time being one will settle for the job with a high compensation. Basically because your initial reason to work is to earn money. however, after reaching a certain point or your goal in life money will not be that important. I thinks it is not necessarily the job that makes use of ones knowledge but rather the job that makes them happy. I've heard of stories of doctors who turned into children's book writer. Their first job was both high paying and relevant to their education but left it for something more rewarding.

i'd go for the job that pays me more. i don't think i can handle being a serious economist (i think i'm not good enough for that. haha) so i don't mind doing something else for a job.
