Dish soap

Last week, I went throught a whole bottle of dish washing liquid, dish soap, in five days. 
Anyway, when I was in high schol, I took a cooking class. Part of the class was to clean dishes, too. The teacher scolded me for using too much dish soap. She said I could use less. Usually, depending on how much I eat at home, 1 big bottle lasts me between a week to two weeks. How long does it take you to use a bottle of dish soap?
