My husband and I have a printer, it is a PixmaMP520. We bought it two years ago, and until recently it has been working just fine, but now there is a problem. We are still able to print and take copies, but the display is completely dead. No matter what we do we can't see a thing. I don't know much about computer or printers, but I was wondering if some of you could help me figure what the problem is. Thanks.

Take your printer to the shop vendor for servicing,it is having a minor problem and will be detected and corrected on the servicing center.

Thanks for your response. We are trying to find a place to get it fixed, and we have called different places to compare the prices. It sounds like it is going to get very expensive to get it fixed, it might be cheaper to buy a new printer, but we haven't decided yet.

I suggest that you take your printer to a certified service center near you. Most probably the problem in your printers LCD display is the ribbon cable. As you have said it's two years old now. The cables conductor must have break as it bends. You need a replacement for that.

Thanks for your help Yes, it is probably best to take the printer to a service center to get it fixed. It is hard to use the printer without the display especially when we want to change some of the settings etc, because we can't see what we are doing.

you should bring the printer to the service station, Integrated assemblies may be available to change the set-up.. this commonly caused by vermin wastes on the circuitry ..or maybe its just the LCD for the display..

Thanks for your response I will show it to my husband, he knows more about these things than me. We will try taking it to the service station.

Go to Cannon Printer Service center and let them check what is the problem. Only them work on it especially if there is some modules or parts need to replace.
