I started a few discussions off before i went to hospital, the only problem now is that i am now trying to type with one hand as the other hand has a canula in it that will be in my hand until Friday if it stays clear enough, either that or they will put it in the other hand.Hense trying to type with using only one hand, but having fun all the same, but at a slower pace.

U are really determined huh?? hehe Well, at least u do make the initiative to respond, no matter how inconvenient u are now, which is a good thing!! Much more better those those whom keeps starting dozens, but responding to none!! lol =D Thus, u are showing a very good example to those lazy members now!! haha

Having health problem and getting admitted to a hospital is really a bad situation for anyone and especially you feel very low when you cannot do your regular work isn't ti? missing mylot is also one among those. But typing with one hand also you get speed as you get some practice.Though i don't have typing speed, i type looking for letters all along the keyboard and i can type fats even without proper tying. So, with time you will also get the speed for sure.

Congratulations for even trying to type one handed. If it were me, I would probably not even try! Don't feel that you have to respond to this!

I sure hope both your hands will be alright soon. Take good care of yourself. I had to type using one hand before as I burned my fingertips. I used a pencil and managed to type a bit faster that way.

Hi Jugs, I was wondering how you made out today. One down and 4 to go!!! Glad that they left it in and not have to redo it everyday. I do hope/ pray all turns out well for you. It is bedtime hear. But was so happy to see your post. I have had the horrible sore hands when I went to decorating cakes full time. I could not write out a check, I couldn't curl my fingers around the pen!!! My hands hurt so bad. Couldn't address envelopes either!!! I could type because I could stretch my fingers. May God Bless you. Give you his strength for the days ahead. May God give you and your family peace as you go through this difficult time. Lord, let this medicine that they are giving Jugs help to heal the body. Amen.

Hi Jugsjugs, What happened to you? Having an accident? Hope you will get well soon. It is also the best time for you to have a rest in the hospital. USing one hand to type....For me, that is pretty tiring. I have get used to typing with both hands. Sometimes when my son was sitting on my lap,I have to use one hand to type too as my another hand is holding my son. But after a while, I feel I am getting tired and decided not to continue my typing. You takecare and have a good rest!!

Hi, Jugs.:-) What happened to you? Got a freaking accident lately? I hope you'll get well soon... I'm in the same situation with you. Not that I had an accident, too, but I am also typing one handed. Because my other hand is holding my baby.:-) She doesn't want to sleep in her bed alone and I don't want to lie down either so here we are in a rocking chair, she, sleeping peacefully in my lap with her head in my right arm while I am typing this. Slow, but it is ok.:-) Win-win situation for both me and my baby, ei. Get well soon, dear.;-)

Just look at the other side. The brighter side. The positive side. Look at it not as a handicap, but an opportunity to learn how to type with a single hand only. By the way, congratulations to you eurekafemme, you're now a mother!

I am having to have an iv drip all day every day for 5 days, so they leave the canula in my hand so that they do not have to put a new one in every day.Day 3 tomorrow this is supposed to help with any clots that are trying to clot up my veins.

@Magtibaygom: Thank you. I never felt so happy like this typing with just one hand before. My baby actually inspires me to post and pot .LOL @Jugs: Follow up question, why do you need IV,dear. Aren't you getting enough of what your body needs? Oh, vein clots. Is it dangerous? I mean having that clot...

I can relate to this. Painfully slow, and tiring for the good hand. A few months ago I trapped a nerve in my left arm. I could not use my left hand properly, even with a support.
