Have you encountered this funny thing happened at home? The phone rings, then you pick up the phone and say "Hello!" and the caller answer "Who's on the line, please?".lol

If they don't know who you are they shouldn't be calling you. We get calls where people ask for "the householder" which is some company dialling numbers at random and trying to sell stuff. Others can be more sinister like the scammer mentioned above or people trying to perpetrate identity theft.

and other callers are absent-minded... they will suddenly realize that they do something wrong... then, they think for awhile and say "bye"...haha

Lol, that was weird, the caller probably haven't ate breakfast yet and got jumbled up. But here in my country, those type of callers are dangerous scammers. They ask your name and later uses it to make false statements. Example: Me: Hello? Caller: Hi, this is Ralph, is your father home? Me: No.. He's at work. Caller: Ah, are you his daughter? What's your name? Me: Cindy, would you like to leave a message? Caller: No thanks I'll call again later. When I'm at school, same caller rang again Dad: Hello? Caller: Hello, is this Cindy's father? Dad: Yes, who is this? Caller: You're child had an accident, we sent her to the nearest hospital with our personal funds, please pay back to this account ***** (then he hang up) Then dad will be so surprised and call on my cellphone while classes are ongoing (and there are professors that HATES cellphone..so I got discredit of my recitation) I answered that I was fine and I'm still at school. Ofcourse my dad will be worried because my classes goes from 3pm to 9pm. I hate that caller because I got a deduction on my grade :P lol

Hi, adel09. Not really. But I have some people will ask me, who am I? I will not tell them who I am, since they have called me. I need to know their name since they have called my number. The nerve of some people.

Over here when that happens it will be my aunt because she is confident that she got our numbers right and expect to make light conversation to whomever that answers the phone. Or if is not my aunt, it will be somebodys aunt who has the same intention of idle talk but got the numbers wrong. I will do that when i call my sister and try to drive my nieces up the wall or when i call their home and my niece answers, i will ask,'yes can i help you? why are you calling me?' But i never succeed in making them mad because they have recognised my voice and my humour.

HAHA! Yes I experienced that. But I yelled at them in return. I'd say, "excuuuse me, why would I bother to answer you?" Then, they ended up their call immediately. :D
