We write our own future

I agree with you. I think I have the choose to make life how I want it to go. I have the choose to be happy or not. I can let things get to me, or not take opportunities, etc. As far as I know, I'm in control, but I am guided.

I knew it, it's the sky's fault I'm grumpy today. Naw, it's me, it is a choice, even when life is crapping on me it's a choice. To a point. I doubt that somebody who is dying of cancer, just lost a child, has no money, is in screaming pain can really succeed at being happy...

Hi savypat, I'm afraid we are totally responsibly and that's often difficult to accept. We love to place blame on others and it seems to be human nature to do so.The fact remains we do write or our own future much as we often hate to take responsibly. Blessings.

Very deep question...there have been times in my life when I have felt very much in control and when I screwed up..well..I knew it was my fault and then there were those times when poop was hitting the fan that I had no control over. I just had to hang on and when the dust cleared..pull it together and go forward..lol.

I do believe that we are mostly responsible for our own outcomes in life. There are times that I come across troubles in my life, but I think that the majority of the causes for them are from forces that I have caused of my own doing. Financial problems are never caused by anyone but ourselves to be completely honest and also some of the other problems that I've come across during my life have also been because of wrong choices that I've made in the past.

Yes I do believe in this. I don't believe in destiny and that everything is pre-determined. Though sometimes I think that outside forces really are in action. But in the end it boils down to what we do despite these forces.

Oh, yes, it is certainly true. We are not always able to choose what happens to us, but we are able to choose how we respond to the things that happen, and that can make all the difference in our quality of life.

Hi Savypat, Yes you are right we do have a choice. When I was younger I guess it was easier to blame others or circumstances but having grown older and wiserI guess the only person to blame is myself and yes I have a choice to be happy or sad. Hi pat, I know that you are right that we probably are in charge of most of our own life, at least to an extent as to whether we are happy or not. But, sometimes we try to blame outside forces to make it easier to face some of the realities that we simply can't deal with.

Yes I believe in that. We are the ones who choose what our moods will be happy. Things may not always be in favor for us but we can still be happy with it if we want. We should smile always to the world and let not the world remove that smile in ours. Whatever is happening, don't let those things ruin our days or our life.

No i believe that when man makes choices it is his choices that determine where he could go. And when he has done that he has no right to blame others and it's he himself who has chose that path. He cannot blame it on someone else and then say that he worked hard but he failed to achieve what he wanted. No one can control our future except ourselves.

i always believed in creating our own luck and writing our own future. bcos when things go right we say we did it and when things go wrong we blame others. I dont blame others for the hell i create.

I believe we are responsible. Of course there are people in our way that makes something bad and we have to fix it or get over, but we must decide how to feel and not others. Once we realise that we gain control.
