I Threw Up at the Grocery Store

So... I just got home from grocery shopping. My tummy was really full from dinner and while paying for my stuff at the cashier, I suddenly felt really queasy and small beads of sweat started coming out of my face, I was afraid I was having my first nausea attach. I painstakingly waited for the cashier to finish the transaction and when she finally handed out my change I immediately grabbed my groceries and walked hurriedly towards the benches. I thought I was gonna fell better if I sit down but it just got worse and, not being able to hold it any longer, I threw up!. Well, not right at the floor but at the garbage bin right by the bench (thank God there was a garbage bin right by the bench!). Just one full hurl and after that, I felt much better. I was so preoccupied about going home and afraid that I was gonna have another nausea that I immediately got out of the store and hurried home. It was then at the jeepney that I remembered that I forgot to claim my 5 pieces Santol (tropical fruit) from the package counter!! Aaaarrgghhh!!! What an experience! LOL!

It is something you can't avoid when you are suffering from morning sickness. Not your fault

morning sickness will always be part of pregnancy and is always exciting. good that nothing serious happened to our friend. she needs to bring with her candies or anything that will make her feel better in times like this. with me balm and white flower oil helps a lot!

Yeah! Thanks! That's what I was longing too when the incident happened, I wished that I brought a white flower oil! I'm not quite sure though if it's a morning sickness..I have a very good feeling that it's just the Mr. Chips junkfood that I ate before dinner coz the puke smelled like Mr. Chips, LOL! But I'm going with the odds now and will bring menthol candies and white flower oil the next times I'd be out of the house :)

Thanks goodness that the garbage bin was just right beside you to give you comfort. I hope you are fine now and will not have any same experience again in the future. Take care always. I am just curious if anyone approaches you and check on if you’re alright after the “vomiting incident?” THat pieces of santol might even make your feeling worst then. i am happy that you reached home safe!

THat was a very graceful vomiting incident hahahaha...just want to make you laugh friend. You are right, people will be happy to extend help i they saw you in that situation. The man might not be comfortable to give you any support that's why he just content himself looking at you and maybe waiting just in case his help will be needed. But i am happy that you feel better now. Have a happy pregnancy!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad there was a garbage bin!! Well, NOBODY approached me and checked on me when it happened. Not even the store staff. I don't know, they might just be busy or just didn't notice me throw up coz it wasn't such a big scene anyway. But if I had thrown up on the floor instead then I guess they would have noticed and alerted their first aid or something. There was one person though who saw me throw up when he passed by but he just looked at me and continued walking. tsk tsk tsk! Kinda sad but at the same time, I'm kind of thankful in a way coz I really don't wanna make a scene. I'm just really thankful that I got home safe :)

That sounds like quite an awful experience. I'm glad you were able to make it to the trash can & home w/o incident. Did you call the store about the fruit you forgot?

Yeah, quite an experience indeed. I'm really thankful there was a trash bin!! Else, I would have puked on the floor and make a big scene! I didn't bother calling the store about the fruit, it only costs about 5pesos anyway and I can just buy another one from the street vendors :)

Well, I would say: To heck with leaving the fruit behind, I made it home in one piece and am okay now! I hate that nauseated feeling more than anything I can think of . It is like being tortured. It just feels so awful. I get it when I am overly stressed and I would rather stick my figure down my throat and get it over with than feel that way.

Yeah! I'm not so much bothered by the fruit anymore though I'm craving for it a LOT! LOL! Anyway, I can always buy another one -- it's almost in every corner here coz it's the fruit's season. I know what you mean about throwing up and getting over it rather than feeling nauseated. That's why I didn't think twice of throwing up coz I know it would make me feel better than hold it. In fact, I don't mind throwing up on the floor even if there weren't any garbage bins around, but I'm still quite thankful there was! :)

I am glad it worked out that way too. I am not excited about cleaning it up.

That is very unfortunate! And very unfortunate for the person who would have to clean up the mess you left in the garbage bin. Anyway, did you already find out why you felt sick? I hope it's nothing bad. I used to always have a candy in my pocket. Just for times like what you experienced. You get better!

Too late! I just realized that this discussion is under 'pregnancy'. Anyway, I still hope that you feel better.

Hahaha! Sorry you had to read this before your dinner :) It was an experience indeed. And thank God there was a garbage bin nearby! Otherwise it would have been a big mess for the grocery personnels and a big humiliation for me! LOL!

Well, I think the customers thought that was pretty funny. I mean its not every day that you see someone puke in a store. If i was there I would be like, " wow that lady just puked". then I would video tape it and send it to youtube.

LOL! I know! I find it funny myself. Although posting it on youtube would be kinda harsh :)
