Hey everyone on myLot. I decided that I am making a goal to read more books because I enjoy reading, I'm just not dedicated enough. I'm also about to start senior year in high school and I'll need some good books to read. The only problem is, is that I don't know what the good books are! Can you give me any suggestions? I would like you to put your favorite book title and a description of the book. Oh, and it has to be interesting! :)

Hmm... where should I start? First off, I'm glad you enjoy reading :) That's great because reading is very important haha. Classic books are some of the greatest ones! To Kill a Mockingbird, Where the Red Fern Grows, Anne Frank, Frankenstein (one of my personal favorites), The Giver, The Scarlet Letter, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Paradise Lost, and Anthem are all VERY good reads! Classics are awesome because they are just so great :P But, try looking in the teen section of your local Hasting's. They usually have great books there, and the used ones are decently priced. If you don't find what you're looking for there, try checking the library. Ask the librarian for suggestions, and she'll be sure to help you! Good luck :)

Well it would help if we knew what you liked to read. Personally, I'm a big fan of high fantasy so all my favorite books are Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, and The Last Unicorn and the like. Some of my favorite YA books are the Hunger Games trilogy and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. If you like science fiction and fantasy, you might like to give them a try.

I didn't put down what genre I like because I want to give all of them a try! I want to hear what your favorites were so I could go out and read them as well. My favorites are fiction, fantasy, mystery, and romance. Thank you so much for your Response!

Well it's always great to come across people who aren't picky! Personally, I will read anything but the genre that I love the most is high fantasy.

I like reading different genres but I especially like historical romance. I can get a feel for what life was like in a different time period and get a dose of romance at the same time. I also like true stories and mysteries. I especially liked the book A Lesson Before Dying.

you must read General knowledge manual from TATA MCGRAW HILLS, it contains each and every topic. It will be very interesting for you and I can bet you can't finish it in one year.

It really depends on what type of books you want to read. If you want easy reading books, then you can try reading Harry Potter by JK Rowling, Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan or The Nicholas Flamel series by Michael Scott.

My favourite book series is Artimeous Fowl. It is about a teenage boy (who is really mature for his age), who is actually a criminal mastermind, after his father was taken by the Russian mafia. He discovers that "mystical creatures" such as dwarfes, elves, fairys, pixie's, that sort of thing live underground, and comes up with a way to take one of them hostage, and use her for a ransom (in the first book). He does this with the help of his butler, named... well butler, who is actually an elite bodyguard, trained to do nothing but protect his master. As the series goes on, Artmieus changes, and it really is a very good book, i highly recommend it.
