How do you feel about people who cheat mylot intentially?

It makes me very angry. Mylot is a good programm that pays out, and there are people out there who are trying to make a fast buck by copying material other people wrote or by posting the same sentence over and over again. The newest action is posting the same picture over and over again. The thing is that these people are not here because they like discussions, they are only in it for a quick buck. Well, I'd rather earn $10 a month with honest and descriptive work than to earn $100 by copying and pasting. No offence to people who actually reach this with hard work and refs; I do not doubt it is possible if you really know your way around mylot :) I feel responsible for keeping mylot a fun and honest place, we should all contribute to it in my opinion. I won't hassle reporting cheaters and scammers if I see them, that is if they intentially do so. I allways try to warn newbies if they are doing something not legal on mylot which they might not know yet (god knows I started a number game once and I even got a bit pissed at a person who told me not to do so, merely because I couldn't find anything that proved it was illegal. Now we have guidelines and I feel kinda bad, appologies to whoever that was! *blush*). But to get back on topic, if people really don't want to listen to you and have for example 40 topics with the same reply, I do report them. Do your homework on these people first and then see if they are really doing a lot of things that are not right. I'm not going to report every (number) game I see :P, but if someone is really pushing the limit (like with copied posts a lot of times or allways, or the same sentence) I do feel you should let mylot know. They are way to good for us to deny them that help. How do you feel about this?

I didn't mean this topic to complain about it, I wanted to make a good discussion out of it; just like you can discuss about if you agree with Bush. 'Complaining' or discussing his actions won't change things either, but it can be intersting to see different points of few. Thank you for posting your opinion.

I dislike cheaters, because in the end they ruin everything for the people who follow rules. Members should follow guidelines or get banned from the site! I especially dislike how people reply to your discussion and don't have anything to say! :( Those types are just trying to get more and more posts under their belt.

You are absolutely right, people who have nothing to add to the discussion should just pass on that discussion. You can better have 30 good responses a day than 200 silly ones.

like that first guy who just responded..ha ha..just came here to see responses...a person can read that there was zero responses...then he posts that! Okay..it is annoying that people just spam the place up ..HOWEVER I do not think you should complain or make a topic about it if you are going to admit you are not using the exclamation point thing and reporting many instances...use it and report what you can when you can when you have the time because otherwise all of these people clogging the place up with their cheating and lack of knowledge are going to end up ruining a good thing for everyone and we all lose out on pay...every new member when they sign up has the guidelines to read and they are in the right hand corner...if they cannot read that is their own lazy fault...

Thank you for your response. I just would like to reply to the fact you say I do not admit I am usting the exclamation point thing? I do this a lot of times, I just wanted to make clear I only do this when I am absolutely certain a person is scamming. The first user in this thread has been doing this for a while, I allready reported him from another thread.. merely because I could look up his profile and could clearly see he was spamming. I just don't think it's right to report people for just 1 fault they might have made without intentially spamming the place. I do agree it would be a shame if they would ruin things for others who do want to make good posts and discussions.

It does aggravate me. I mean, I am guilty of posting fluff discussions every now and then, or responding to number games and such, but I also try to post real responses. I'm obviously not in this for the money...I haven't even made 200 posts yet! LOL Sure, the money is nice, but I know I am never going to make a lot of it. I don't have the time, and quite honestly, I don't have enough to say! :) But the people who don't read the topic of the discussion....I try not to go reporting happy, but it is fairly obvious to see the abuse patterns.

Thank you for sharing, I agree that abuse patterns are most of the time easy to see. It surprised me that some people who actually copy and paste the same sentence have also taken part in this discussion; well, gives us a good example but still. It doesn't sound logical anyway.

If you keep copying and pasting the same message into a thread, that is considered cheating. This is because it doesn't add anything to the topic and people should try to add something to it. You don't have to agree with someone, but you can try to be as descriptive as possible.

I agree with you and I´m glad that are some members in here who cares about quality and not quantity, I guess that we have to rate more that kind of discussions, if some members are just copy cat the discussions we must report. I understand that sometimes one or other member starts one similar discussion, but COPYING, no not for me rate - and that´s it.

It makes me angry, but it also worries me. If enough people end up here making all of these ridiculous posts and polls and copy and pasting everywhere I worry that a site that I really enjoy will end up having to shut down. I haven't reported anyone so far, mostly because when I first started I too was guilty of silly posts. Now that I have been here a while I get agrivated with these people, but hope that some of them will be like I was and start to realize what a great site this is and try to uphold the guidelines.
