I have this feeling for the rich men. I feel that although they have all the pleasure in the world but I don't think they are happy. they have a constant fear of losing their wealth, they have the constant threat to their life. I am sure they would want to lead a normal life, free from all stress and worries. What do you have to say about this? looking forward for the responses.

I too feel that rich men are not at all happy because they know that people love money, therefore they have it so they think they can control people.

Ashton--I notice your answers are brief, & you don't really explore your posters. That's not good, as it will earn you very little money. Don't just repeat what they say & then say thank you for posting; MyLot pays for in-depth answers. It's meant to be a conversation, not just an "Okay, thanks" line. I may have my post deleted, as MyLot dislikes us discussing the rules overmuch (because they post them, & they expect you to read them. In fact, it's best to reread them now & then, as things change! I just wanted to pass along some free advice to help you. In fact, go read MyLot's Guidelines to learn how best to do EVERYTHING! Yours, Maggiepie

i believe it's human nature to be not contented of what they have (anyone not only the rich). because life is a continuous growth everyone just wanted to do or to have more. whenever we reach one dream, we don't stop there. we have to have another reason to live. another dream to pursue. so i don't think anyone can be absolutely happy if happiness = satisfaction, but at least when you die you'd have no regrets. rich people are subject to the same theory. just like what most said, the more money you have, the more problems you get. while they can buy a lot of things with their money, even the richest man in the world continuously struggles to keep that wealth. while we worry about our jobs, our employers worry something a lot bigger than our own worries. so whatever trouble we're having regarding money, they're having it too. BUT, i do believe that the love and support of the people around you can make up for all the frustrations you're getting along the way, so while you're unhappy about a thing, you can get that happiness back from another thing. whether you're rich or not, you gotta have that strong bond with your loved ones, although not absolutely worry-free, anyone can be happy with just that.

Yeah, getting rich is almost everyone's goal without any doubt. So am I.But maybe too rich is not a good choice for me.Well,it is very stupid to think about this issue when I am still not rich.Just look at the way in front of my sight and keep on it patiently and persistently.

Yes. It really makes nonsense to think about the problems you face if you have tooooooo much money. Base on the One problem at a time and Divide and Conquer principle. I will strive hard to become rich then I will think about how to become 'too' rich.

We have all heard that money cannot buy happiness. However, I happen to know that most of my UNHAPPINESS in life is that I don't make enough money. I am certain that I would not have nearly as many problems in life if I had enough money to pay my bills and have a little extra money each month, so I don't really see how someone who is rich enough that they do not have to worry about how they are going to pay their bills and provide for their family each month cannot be at least somewhat happier than us poor people who have to struggle from day-to-day just to make it. I think a lot of the problem that makes rich people so unhappy is that they don't have any real troubles to worry about in life (such as paying bills), so they have time to create other problems for themselves, or that their lives are just so boring that they forget to appreciate the fact that they do not have to struggle financially...

The rich face certain problems and pressures. They may run the risk of being kidnapped or having a family member kidnapped. They may be so well known that they lose all privacy. I personally would not like to be so rich that I became internationally famous, but a small fortune would be nice. Wealth does offer greater options for self realisation. Besides being able to buy beautiful things, travel all over the world, the wealthy can also use their riches for helping others, which must give a great sense of satisfaction. It all depends on the individual personality and how the wealth is used.

How can you not be happy with all the things that you have in life. You can have everything in this world when you have money. You can go anywhere without thinking too much of the expenses. You can buy expensive clothes and things without working too much for it. Life is full of threat, no one lives without it so happen that rich people are more prone than any other people, but its a matter of how your live your life. If those wealth came from bad things, well owner would definitely feel worried about it. But if those money came from a honest living, why should you worry? ;)

From my opinion I do believe that rich people are not happy for what they have now and they try to become more richer.I think that rich people are always in worries and stress and they will not get time to enjoy where as poor people will also have worries but they don't have fears of loosing their wealth.

Maybe we can't say that money is equal to happyness, however, mostly poor makes people worry. we hear this sayings repeatedly"Money is not evrything, but without it you can do nothing."

I don't know the answer since I am not a rich woman right now. Well,I am just kidding. Back to your topic,it seems a common rule that people are always looking after something they haven't got.But if they have achieved what they want, its value is not so precious for them any longer. So maybe the rich will never feel happy totally because there are always things they are desiring. Meanwhile,The rich have earned enough money that is almost sufficient for their whole life already, then they will lay emphasis on mental area.On the other hand, probably their friends or relatives are jealous about their money and want to share it with the rich, then they get into delimma. So in my opinion, maybe being moderate is another good and perfect choice for me.

Rich men are always happy. they can do whatever they want with their lives, they can even buy the people around him. but there is a point when they tend to become unhappy when they wanted a person they could not have. they will be doing things to lure this person to like him as well. if he becomes successful with that, in the end he is still unhappy because he knows to himself the only reason this person liked him back, and mostly it is because of him being rich.
