Hello, How are you?
Like I sad yesterday I was so scared I will rate It like on of my life biggest fear. The day was sunny and like always I was done my jobs here at myLot then I had heard thunder I was remember that outside is drying my clothes. I was run so fast how I can in very high speed I took my clothes and then rain was started I run fast back to my home.
And then lightning was appeared in the beginning I thought that It is ordinary thunderstorm, but after hours all was changed. After some minutes lightning was changed to strong side. Outside was some people who was talked for something. I was shocked and I thought does they do not seen anything? Heaven was changed to dark side I was looked outside and I do not seen nothing all was black, dark black. Wind was strong about 25m/s lightning was increasing. I was heard only loud thunderbolts and thunder. Then all heaven was bright, but system outside was only increasing. It was terrible, because something like this I have seen only two times.
At the same night electricity was lost and water too all things was worked after lunch time. I looked outside and see many emergency cars and broken tress, electric lines and cars. I can say only one I do not scar from lightning and thunder, but It was terrible. I want to talk about this topic, but I change It..
Do you ever had so scared from something from which you do not fear?
What is your biggest fears? How you fight with them?

Thunder and lightening do not scared me, but falling down and hurting myself and there is no one there would. A few years ago, I fell and hurt my legs and I was afraid that no one would be there. Luckily there was a nice couple that helped me up and helped me get back on my way.
Now when I was a child, I used to dream of this monster coming after me, but then I faced that monster (No it was not me - I think it was the devil) and after that I did not have that sort of fear.
Now if I was not a Christian and there was a storm like you experienced I would have been scared because I was not ready, but now I would be mad at having all the clothes out in the line.
That would have made me rather annoyed.

When I lived on the West Coast, we did not have a dryer, so mom had to put out all the clothes on the line and then it would start to rain. then she would hang them in the basement and they got so wrinkled that she had to iron them all, so naturally I do not like rain that much.
AS for the fall, I did not go to the doctor, but stood on one foot and then another, trying to make my legs stronger. I did lose a little weight and well I was more careful from then one. I am sort of on the clumsy side.

Hi,
Nice to hear that there was people which can help in your hard situation. I never haven't situation when I had dream from something like this.. yes It was devil. Yes this thing was scared me a lot.. he he I too would angry If I would unable to take clothes. I am happy now, because all is ended and I feel great. Take care, Have a nice day!

I too do not have a dryer, but when outside is sunny we put clothes outside, but when outside is raining we put or clothes to chairs etc. I like rain, but not this thunderstorms. Sad to hear about your accident with legs, but all be well. Take care, Have a nice day!

I´m scared of earthquakes. That fear is shared by many of my country people because we are the country who has had the biggest earthquake ever recorded. Both that one and this last pne (the 5th greatest) have been during my lifetime. The last one was this year, I live alone and both my mother and my brother who live near me were on vacations elsewhere. But that is not a new fear. I think that this is the only thing I fear that I can think of now. But, believe me, it´s no little deal to see the anger of Mother Earth beneath our feet.

On my country we do not have earthquakes and I think they never been here. Where you live that you have so many earthquakes? Sad to hear about your situation and yes earthquakes is more scariest and dangerous than my situation. Thanks for share, Take care, Have a nice day!

Really the weather never bothers me.
even tho my daughter was in atornado that took our home.
I still have no fear of a tornado.
adn I have drove thro many of them.
I love to set outside and watch a lighting show and count between lighting stikes to see how far away they are.
and wait to see if the rain gets to us mostly not!

You are very strong person If you do not fear of tornado although It was so close. Yes I too love watching lightning when It is very far, because lights looks so fantastic, but when It was come to me my smile disappear. Thanks for sharing, Take care, Have a nice day!

I could envision the scene as I was reading your post. It sound quite scary and it reminded of the afternoon and evening we had one of the wildest hail storms we’ve ever had here. It started with heavy rain around four in the afternoon followed by very loud thunder and when the hail decided to come down it destroyed so many cars! Some of the hail stones were as large as golf balls and I was driving my daughter home from a birthday party and thankfully just missed the hail so my vehicle was not damaged but I can honestly say that that ride home was frightening, the puddles were huge and I was fearing a tree was going to come down on us…

Yes It was very scary and long storm. Ah you had too experience of this unpredictable mother nature things. I can imagine you fears, but It is nice that all was well with you and your daughter. On this moments better is pray the God. Thanks for sharing, Take care, Have a nice day!

He he yes there come bad weather at my side. On the morning sometimes there is rain then day is very sunny and on evening we receive storms. It only seems good weather is leave my place. Hiya ET,
Yes understand how you feel because we went to a Town on the Coast last Year and in five minutes the whole place looked more like a River. The Drainage was very bad so there were huge puddles of deep water right away in some parts of the Street. The Hail dented the Car Roof and Bonnet and we had to steer the Car towards the shallow en of the big puddles to keep the Brakes dry as we could hardly tell where the pavement had gone.
It went pitch black outside also and the Storm lasted quite a long time. Luckily we came to no harm just a bit of shock as we had never been in one of these storms before. However there were silly people on the Motor way hiding under the Motorway bridges so they would not get their Cars dented by the Hail but that is a very dangerous practice as the People coming that way in the Cars cannot see you because of so much Rain and huge Splashes from other Cars and loads of Rainwater pouring down off the Bridge. They probably had no insurance to cover this kind of thing they should be fined and heavily because they can serious accidents in these kind of storms they were even fighting amongst themselves too I have never seen anything like this either. But now we know what to expect the next time.

Now we have been through that one if we get caught in one again we will be more experienced and know more or less what to do.
I don´t think you would scream like a Baby it´s just that we all get scared at some time but you can get used to things like this and be prepared and know what to do. For anyone coming here and they find this kind of flooding please don´t try to cross Streets or Roads that are badly flooded it is really a very dangerous practice and the car can get carried away by the force of the Water. Also those who hide under the Bridges so they don´t get the Car damaged think that someone could else could be driving behind and crash straight into you as they cannot see you with all the Rain falling so fast and the hail and the big splashes of the other Cars. The Day before yesterday there was a huge rainfall here and we saw that they were doing it again waiting and hiding under the Bridge on the main motorway. You can´t force them out but they can cause a huge tail back of traffic and accidents. In the end they lose out. It´s amazing how the Police are never around when this happens.
I hope no one gets caught in Floods or Storms they can be very scary.

Nice to hear that you understand my situation. But, your situation was amazing, but very dangerous. If I be in your place I could scream like baby. I never haven't experience with big floods the biggest one was at my country about 1.5m. This situation at that town was terrible I can imagine people face expression. And also they was risk with their life's under the bridge. I hope none of the people did not suffer serious. It is hard to be calm when this situations happens, but yes next time we know what will need to do and what we can wait from mother nature. Thanks for sharing, Take care, Have a nice day!

Yes, I have been afraid, especially for the welfare of my autistic son (he became autistic at age 12 right after getting the MMR school shot). We have been slowly getting rid of his autism using biomedical means, but I do believe worrying about him gave me prostate cancer some years ago. The doctor used radiation to get rid of my prostate and to get rid of the cancer. I have learned that it is best not to worry, but to tell GOD our troubles. GOD can take care of out troubles while worrying does not help.

Sad to hear about your son and this problem It is terrible hear something like this. It would be nice If one day all be well with he, but I am not strong at this field. Does doctors can cure autism? I hope they can. Yes sometimes worrying makes all only worse. You say the right better is tell God our problems and praying and maybe one day all be well with us. Take care, Have a nice day!

i am scared of spiders and red back spiders i hate because they are dangrous if they bite its mostly the female ones that are dangrous.

Yes some spiders can be very dangerous like they which live in Malaysia.. at my place we do not have big spiders only small and harmless. Yes dieing is one scary things most of people fear from dieing, but you know people who do not want to die live the longest life. We all would die one day.. Happy posting to you too. hi et28lv yes some thunderstorms can be very frightening but those
are not what really scare me. Here in the US in Southern California
we get so use to slight earth tremors we do not get too upset but
when the tremor gets even a bit harder and lasts a whole minute
'with furniture moving, I get panicked and cannot move. but its always
all over in seconds. So now I just tell myself its just a tremor its
over and lets get on with life. we have nothing to fear in this life but
fear itself as that makes us feel so afraid we cannot think or move or do the things we should do to get away from bad weather.

He he I too was think that thunderstorms is nothing till my day when I was scared like little kid. I had experience when lightning was bolt in my Internet box. Repairing was very expensive, but I always turn off all electricity things when outside is thunderstorms. Sad to hear about your system with this earth tremors. I'm not afraid of thunder storms but I know and understand the damage they can do. so I try to take measures during a storm to protect my self and my valuables meaning things that can or maybe damaged in a heavy storm are unplugged and moved away from windows.
As for me, my only phobia is a fear of certain insects I'm afraid of wasp, spider, moth, roaches, and large ants, or any wired looking bug. why? I dont know maybe because some bite stink carry disease and are just creepy.
Just last week or so I was bitten by some sort of insect that gave me an allergic reaction and the strange thing is that I had no idea that I had an allergy to insects ew and now I'm even more creeped out by bugs.

He he I too was think that I do not fear from thunderstorms, but that day was changed my thoughts and I am a little bit confused. Yes this thunderstorms can destroy all. I always turn all electricity things off and unplugged them. One time lightning bolt was struck in one house near my and this kick was broken my Internet box. Lightning power was making their way for Internet lines and in the end all houses was without Internet system, but of luck Internet people repair all, but that house was suffer accurately all TV at that house was broken.
I fear from snakes, because when I was little kid I had accident with them. One snake almost felt a stab of poison. I avoid from It barely. Yes some insects is creepy and strange. I too have some allergic reaction from them. Take care, Have a nice day!

Whoo! I'd be scared too ! must have been a tornado close? I am not sure where you live tho so I would have to say the you just had a bad summer storm.
My biggest fear is not having enough money. Not dogs, or storms but the worry of a lack of money.
I hope some day to be able to not have to worry about money. I gets so tiresome worrying all the time.

No at my place we do not have tornado, but something similar like hurricane. I live in Latvia and yes It was bad summer storm, because we had so great sunny days here, but now they are gone I guess. Yesterday after my office hours i went direct to home.On the way i saw small black snake passing the way.I was afraid and left what to do there.I screamed and i was bit afraid to pass the way.Another group of people came from back and i went along with them.I was so scared and even my heart was beating after reaching home.

I am from Latvia we too have sunny days, but when come evening then storms is starting. I mean do you had experience.. You do not have fears for that thing, but one day you are so scared. Like on my situation I do not fear from lightning and thunder, but on that day I was very scared. Take care, Have a nice day!

Thunder and lightning can be scarey. Blackness can be too. Lightning can be dangerous. We had a fire here caused by it that consumed four houses and some out houses. Sad to hear of that sort of thing. My biggest fear is drowning but fire would be a big second. Very scarey! Take care.

Hi ET thats must really scared, I never experience thing like that in my life. I believe its really scary. My city its quite save I never face life threatening experience and make me trauma. I hope I never have to face it the whole my life.
I had a relative who really afraid of thunder, she will lock herself in her bedroom and cover herself in blanket every time thunder come.

You explained the scene very nicely. In my life I never experienced such a situation. The natural phenomenon is unpredictable and beyond our imagination. If the favourable natural situations get a un natural combination such things are happening.
Many things in this earth or our world are still beyond our knowledge. Some times this will happen. Similar experiences were happened to me but on very simple way. Your experience is so dangerous and should be careful of such times. If the lighting alongwith thunder is very dangerous and always be in a safer place.
I am scared of all things which are uncommon.

I am scared of snakes because when I am small I had a accident that when I am going to my bed,on my bed there is a snake and I ran away from there and whole night I could not sleep.I am also scare from thunder and lighting because I feel that snake is making sound and it may fall upon me.

Yes I too I am scared from snakes, because I too had bad accident with them when I was went to forest one of them almost felt the poison. I do not like that sound what makes grasshoppers, because It reminds me snakes sound. Really I do not scar from thunder and lightning, but yesterday It was very hard and scary day..

Hello ET. I'm not usually scared of moths but there was a huge one in the bedroom on Sunday night and I froze when I saw it. I normally just catch them and put them out of the window but this one was huge and I could see it's eyes staring at me. I was alone because hubby was at work so I slept on the sofa, no way was I going near that moth again. I'm usually okay with storms, I like to watch storms but I feel a bit wary of them if I'm outside.

I had similar situation, but with big locust It was my first time when I was seen so big locust, because I had seen only them in medium size. He was crawled through my bedroom ceiling. I was not frightened, but It was unpleasant. I too always put this all creatures on window, but this one I put throw out of my window. I let he to climb on my slipper and then trow he out. Yes i am also very scare of thunder. Also lengthy ants and snake.... Most i scare is if someone suddenly come behind me and shock me. This makes me so fear and get angry on that person also...
