My boyfriend and I wanted to get a family plan together. We both have At&t on an individual phone plan. We wanted to get a family plan and keep our numbers. We were wondering if this is possible with At&t because you can't seem to do it their website. We both need new phones also. My phone refuses to charge unless it's completely dead and his phone's screen has been smashed in. Will one of us have to forfeit our number or is it possible to have them do this in the store? Thank you for all your responses and suggestions.

As far as I know, you should be able to keep your phone numbers. I've been with AT&T for years now, and through four phones, and have never had to change mine. You just need to go to an AT&T store to get your sim card and number transferred to the new phone and to enlist the phone numbers with the family plan. Some of those things you can't initially do online, though you should be able to pay your bill and whatever else online once you have visited a store and made the changes you want to make.

Thanks for the suggestion. We ended up calling because he was originally with Cingular before they were bought out. It made things more difficult.
