Hi...i have this funny thought when i remembered my Psychiatric Nursing Duty... There was a patient there who became mentally ill because the rumor was he won the jackpot in the lottery but the lottery ticket was nowhere to be found... If you were in this same situation.., how would you react that a large amount of money is almost in your grasp but it the ticket is gone..how will you cope up with it..will you be mad at yourself? will you be able to sleep at night? as for me.., i can't imagine how would i feel.. haha

I think I would become mentally ill as well.. All I would be thinking about for the rest of my life is how I COULD HAVE won the lottery, how I could have bought a nice house, and car.. But the reason I didn't was because I was stupid enough to lose the ticket. I would probably spend many days crying I know it sounds kind of stupid to cry over something you never had, but the fact that it could have been mine would kill me. I'm far from the kind of person who could deal with that.

Oh, just another nursey in mylot. nice to meet you my friend. that could really drive a person crazy esp if he or she is really in need of money. but i guess if it happens to me, i will cry so much and im sure my love team will take care of me so i don't worry that much of coping. =)

Let's cross the bridge when we get there... I really cannot also imagine, winning, "pera na, naging bato pa(bucks turned into Rocks)"..... I will just Pray, and Pray, and Pray, I might get it back... For, I've been an accident survivor, and Lots and Lots of Prayers from Family, relatives, and friends granted by life Back.... May God Bless Us All, Always....

Maybe if this same situation happens to me I'll get very very frustrated and mad about myself. I would surely cry a river for having such a bad luck. But knowing my personality I think I would sooner or later cope up with such miseries life throws at me. Those people who couldn't cope up with this kind of situation are the ones who ended up mentally ill. Remember the DABDA principle, They are the ones who never gets to the last A which is ACCEPTANCE. In my case, in every situation i came across in my life there's always me accepting the fate I am having and doing something about it and making it a learning experience. So that in any case, the second time I win another lottery jackpot, I'll make sure the money will be put in my pocket (or the bank) with the ticket safely in my possession.

very optimistic..and yes DABDA by KUbler-Ross..coorect me if i'm wrong..=)is the normal process of responding to certain loss... but in my case i would be stuck with ANGER for a long time before reaching the last phase which is ACCEPTANCE...i would be mad at myself for being stupid and careless... =)

Actually I don't find it funny. I feel sorry for the patient. That is a terrible situation and I myself might not be able forgive myself for losing it . Or if ever I can, it will still be hard to go on working everyday when you know that you could have been just enjoying your life...

OMG I would hate myself, and try to remind myself that everything happens for a reason, but deep down I would not believe that tho. I would really wonder why I had some really bad luck.

State Government have scrapped the Lottery in my place and throughout my state.. Nobody becomes a millionaire in a single night because he purchased a lottery and he won the prize.. No work no money!!!! U earn and u become billionaire or if your ancestors have the money then u are rich..

If I won the lottery but lost the ticket, i would be devastated. If the lottery was a huge amount, i would feel even worse. We all misplace little items, but a lottery ticket can't be replaced. When it's gone, it's gone. I would be so angry and upset with myself for not putting a lottery ticket in a safer place.

That will be a terrible situation, and I will not commit such mistake again but the chance of winning lottery will also never come again.

I would probably end up in hospital too...xD There would be nothing much I could do, I could try and find it but if I can't I'll have to give myself some time to get over the shock even though I'll probably always live to regret losing the ticket. I would try to look on the bright side of things at least it isn't a family member I've lost, or my sight or something because they are worth more than a winning lottery ticket :)

I'm pretty sure I would be super mad and sad cuz that's how I was when I lost $100...so I can only imagine how I would act if I lost that much

Aww that's really hard to deal with. If I were in the same situation, I will surely freak out. I'll get frustrated and depressed. I honestly can't imagine how to cope up with this. I'll probably end up in the mental institution as well. _

I think I'll also fall in the same situation as the patient who got mentally ill. Let us consider that not everyone in this world get the opportunity to win a big prize of money. It's frustrating to think that you're almost there then you suddenly lost the chance. It is disappointing.
