Ohh this cat...I am sad

Friends last night I came home late night after attending wedding of a friend’s son and left my scooter on the terrace in front of my home. This morning our maidservant, while sweeping the terrace saw the seat cover of the scooter torn at several places, as if somebody has scratched it with a sharp nail. When I saw it, at first I was puzzled but later I could know the real thing. Because it had happened many times earlier also. There are many stray cats near my home. There is a window that opens to the terrace. So this cat has tried to enter our home through this window, she has jumped from the scooter seat several times; the seat cover was torn by her nails. I am fed up of the stray cats, earlier they soiled my bed sheet and mattress. Do you have any such story to share? Can you give any tip to get rid of the stray cats? Thanks in advance. Professor

I have had stray cat problems in my neighborhood, and what happened was we ended up catching them and taking them to the humane society, catching them and adopting them out if they are less than 3 months old, or catching them and domesticating them. So far, my Lucky has been the only reported successful domesticated case in three years. If they can be domesticated. Try that. Meaning get them to eat from your hands, and get them to communicate with people, and then you can take if from there. If they are less than three months old, try to catch them and try to adopt them out. Find good homes for them. If they cannot be domesticated or adopted out, then just try to catch them in a cage trap and take them to the nearest humane society. Sadly, that is all that you can do.

I love cats, but they will tear up any types of vinyl seats.. but we had this one that loved to use my dads lawn mower seat as a litter box dad left the mower running went inside to use the bathroom while me and some children were talking.. we look over to see our cat pooping on his lawn mower seat.. Dad comes outside and goes to sit down and we are all yelling no no no don't sit, and he could not understand us sat in it and mowed three properties.. then when he came home we all stood there smiling at him my poor dad thought he soiled himself due to heat stroke.. so we waited a couple of hours till the cat was on the seat again then pointed at it so he knew then what really happened as we all said we tried to tell you not to sit in it lol .. but we could not talk we laughed so hard about it.. my dad got a new seat and set the old one away from the house behind a tree.. the cat kept using the old one thankfully lol.. one suggesting is to put tin foil or aluminum foil over those seats when you are not using them.. cats generally do not like to walk on that.. just wrinkle it up a lot first.. then put it around the seat or window sills.. otherwise get a water bottle and when you catch them squirt them with water.. don't drown them please just squirt them enough for them to think oh if I am here I'm gonna get wet.. so time to move :)

Hi Professor, I believe if you sprinkle hot pepper on your scooter, cats won't go near it. Try it, I'm sure it will work.

hi professor there are usually cat aid socitites of some sort to help with stray or unwanted cats in almost any country. Here in the Us we have the humane Society that can come and try to tame the younger ones and find good homes for them all. Some one has got to love those poor things as they must have had owners at one time so its time some took them and tamed them and rehomed them to responsible owners.you could also try to find the Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals as they would not be there if someone had not just tossed then away. I am sorry they have damaged your scooter seat. But they are just dumb animals reverting back to nature and the owners who dumped them should be really ashamed. they could have given them to cat lovers instead. how cruel those people are to do that to pets.
