I have an old and still in good condition old car, a Nissan Sunny 130Y which I have drive like almost 10 years and it was stolen yesterday! I am sure that I lock my car properly and yet it still got stolen. I went to the police station and made a police report and I was told that there are 3 more cases happen in the same day! What the hell and what happen to this world? How can this things happen to me, at the same place there are so many new and nice car around, why my car!?
Have you ever lost your car? What did you do when you lost your car? Or have you found your stolen car?

Yeah, that's why your car was stolen. It's a Nissan. Hondas, Toyotas, and Nissans are the most steal-able cars.
I have a Chevy Cavalier and no one wants my car. Also, I never leave anything of value in my car.
A friend of my friends had their cars stolen and things in their cars stolen, but I have never had that happen to be because I never leave anything of value in it, and my car is a Chevy Cavalier. My car is looked down upon.
If you have a car that people want and you have valuables in it, then your car is a target.

Yes, you are right, those car are the hot car that these car syndicate wanted, especially the old type because you hardly find any spare part in the market anymore. So they steal the car and take out those spare parts to sell it some of the car spare parts shop.
I never put anything valuable stuff in my car as well, not even a single penny. But those car syndicate are not looking for those thing but the car engine and spare parts actually.

I am sincerely sorry for your bad experience. 10 years! You must be attached to it like a spouse. I once had a motor cycle which I owned for 11 years and sold away in a good condition. I felt bad about having to sell it too.
More recently, last year, I misplaced my motorcycle and couldn't find it for 1 month though I searched the entire (small) town I live in. I used to feel terrible and sleepless at night.
I hope you get it back soon. More importantly, I hope your car is
insured!
(The only times I see cars stolen are in movies, where we
see nothing of the car-owner later in the movie.)

Yes, you are right, the car is just like my wife, of course one will have feeling with the car that have been together for 10 years and went missing in one day. I don't really put much hope that I can get my car back but if one day I can find it back, I cannot imagine what it will look like. My friend's one month old new car got stolen and when found back was left with nothing except the body. So sad.
My car was covered with insurance but will only pay after 6 month and most probably will only pay like 40% of the car market value. So what a big lost to me, I am still looking for another car at the moment.

yes that happened to us while we were at a wedding reception. fortunately, another guest was an off duty police officer who got us pretty quick assistance and another friend of ours had come in two cars (he and his wife) and lent one to us. they found it a couple of days later in good condition. we got it repaired and were able to drive it again for another year.

You are so lucky that you able to recovered your car back, I do not think that the police officer here will be able to act that fast and be able to find the car back since there are so many lost car everyday. Even thought sometime they are able to nap some of the car syndicate but most of the car they don't. We are just a nothing for them unless if someone VIP's car got stolen then they will really put up effort to find the car back.

hi yspmyl No we did not have our pickup stolen but the neighbors son
had some older boys visit him one night late, and somehow they got
my husbands pickup hot wired, drove it about one hundred miles or more, took almost all the gas, brought it back and parked it up the street. we asked some questions and the neighbors son confused his older buddies were the culprits. we pressed charges and those kids spent some time in juvvy hall. later those two boys got into more serious trouble and ended up in prison for stealing a car and selling it for parts to a chop shop.

Hi Hatley,
You are lucky that you still able to get back your pickup and put the culprit into jail. I do not think that I will be able to get my car back unless there are miracle. I have got a friend lot his 1 month old new car and get back with empty inside it, mean the engine, the head lamp, the mirrors, the cushions and almost everything that can dismantle had been taken away. Just hope that these guy will go to jail for the rest of their life one day and repay back for what they have done.

I am sorry to hear about your car
My boyfriend (now husband) lost his jeep a long time ago. We had an appointment with the dentist and he parked his jeep in a very public place. When we got out from the dentist, we could not find his jeep. Of all the vehicles lined up then, it was his jeep that had to be stolen! Anyway, it was recovered after about a month or so, with a lot of defects. What was really bad was that the one caught for carnapping was a minor.

We attended a church in a really bad area. When we came out of service one night our car was missing. It was a p.o.s. -- a 1972 Pinto and it was all broken up. We left the keys under the mat because we figured no one would ever take it! It really was jacked up! But someone stole it anyway! That was a really crazy feeling to walk out to where we left the car to find it missing!

I've never had anyone take my car. I've had someone hit it while it was parked & no one was in it thankfully.
I hope they are able to find your car. If not I hope you had insurance.
