wearing jeans in the office

i wear jeans to work once in awhile on fridays (our casual day) but not all the time. i wear a blazer or some sort of jacket with them so i still look professional.

I find it weird too as I am someone who wears most of jeans than classic outfits and in the office we are allowed to wear jeans only on Friday as they say it is the last day of the week and last day to work for the week too, so only on Friday I am able to wear my jeans whereas just like you I am more comfortable in jeans than other outfits. Maybe they think that if we wear office outfits we can be more motivated to work as an employee than someone else.;-)

Maybe it is because jeans are always associated with casual wear. Jeans never look formal. I also love wearing jeans. In fact, I have 50+ pairs of jeans at home. All of them are so comfortable. Some offices and businesses allow jeans at work. My first job does not allow jeans at work. My second job does.

It depends on the nature of your business or office. if you entertain and face clients then i don't think jeans is presentable. Normallay there are office decorums that applies there are days however that employees are allowed to wear jeans and that's usually during fridays and weekends.

I do wear jeans in the office, I am comfortable in wearing jeans.

Well its comfortable to were jeans everyday but in the office they just can't tolerate wearing one. Its just part of a dress code in the office. But there are exceptions on this and primary example of this is when your works requires to move around and do tedious job that wearing too formal outfit would be inconvenient. Well having excuse works.

i love wearing jeans but i guess it's just apt to do the proper dress code. maybe it's the looks that matter. when at the office people think of respectable individuals that they look up high and office workers must look elegant or such. =)

It depends on where you work. Where I work, it is okay to wear jeans, and I think in several other places too. But not everywhere. So it depends, really.
