Money is not Evil

If someone says money is not important, then that person is definitely broke. Am I right or am i still right? Money is very important in our life. Even the rich people say that money is important. Money is not the root of evil. It only becomes evil if it is used a wrong purpose. There are some people who think that rich people are bad because they have money, and the poor people are the only good. Then that is a wrong mentality!
People stay poor because they don't think rich. They think being rich is bad. They think that having a lot of money will make them evil. But if you would realize it, some poor people steal, commit crimes, and do illegal things more than the rich people. Why? It is because poor people need money.
So,if you want to be rich, you should think that money is important and it is not the root of evil so that you will do everything as long as its good and legal in order to have the financial freedom.

I definitely agree with you! If a person hate the rich because of what he perceived them to be then they will never become rich; why would you try to become something that you hate? Poverty is here to stay, that's the fact even though it is hard to accept, and it is a vicious cycle. Poverty will be experienced by a family unless one of them says "it is enough!"
It is not a sin to be born poor, but to stay poor IS.

Absolutely right! To be born poor is not a sin, staying poor is. But whether you are born rich or poor, you become a sinner if you have an evil perception of acquiring a lot of money or being wealthy. Thus, poverty & Evil things will always remain in this kind of mentality.

I beg to differ, for me staying poor isn't a sin. How can it be a sin?
I don't think poor people would not want to stay poor, naturally they would want to improve their financial standing just like everybody else. Maybe some have the luck and are capable to do so but for those who weren't given the chance, lacks education and have limited choices will mostly likely remain poor whether they like it or not.
For me, a sin is when someone uses money to cheat and abuse others.

Money is what makes the world go round and it helps us to survive because in order to get food we have to buy it with money. We pretty much have to buy everything with money it's just that important and it helps pay the bills. So yes I have to agree with you money is not evil, but yes some people when they get a lot of money tend to spend it quicker because they never had so much money before.
I need money too in order to pay for my college I really don't like that my dad has to support me, but I haven't been able to get a job due to the economy and that actually scares me I'm scared that I will never find a job and if I have no money I will be homeless and I don't want that. Money is basically what we all live on even if some don't want to admit it. I am in need of money right now that's why I have to mylot so that I can earn a little bit of money to help towards buying my books or paying for some units.

Hi, that is so good of you. Earning here in mylot would really help you pay for your college. Just keep on going and believe in your self that you would be able to finish your studies and have a good life. Having no money right now will not define your future because your life is in your hands and not on having a money or not. Good luck to you!

Well really money is important for survival but as with everything else in life there's a good and a bad side to it. Being rich does seem to affect some people in a negative way, it goes to their heads and they think they are better than everyone else. I have also been in a position where I was homeless and my life was in a very bad mess, the only way I could eat at the time was to steal which I'll admit but it's something I'm not very proud of and will regret for the rest of my life.

I know you regret that, but it already happened. What matters now is TODAY! I am not in a position to tell you what to do. But I want to share you some things on what I have learned on the book of 'For Richer For Poorer' by Chinkee Tan & 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' by Robert Kiyosaki. These writers were very poor when they were still young but they didn't allow that to ruin or control their life. They tried hard and did anything as long as its good and legal just to prosper in life. And now, they are alreay millionares and entrepreneurs. I recommend you the book of Rich Dad Poor Dad. You might be inspired by it.

Definitely Money is not evil...but instead the "Love of money is the root of all evil" that is according to I Timothy 6: 10, "For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs"

Almost everybody says money is important. But being rich and famous is not as good as you think. Sometimes, being poor make you feel better.
You cannot become rich just by thinking that money is important. Poor people need money but they can't become rich.
For me, I think money is not evil but it can turn people into evils. It depends on who has money and what they do with money they have.

Not all rich and famous are good, but some of them are. Most rich people can do a lot of things in the world such as charities, orphanage, and other institutions. They are good if they remain good while being wealthy. But I totally disagree that we cannot become rich by just thinking that money is important. How we think will affect how we will feel on something, and how we will feel will affect our actions. So if we will just think that money is not important, we will not have the feeling of excitment or eagerness to work hard and make some actions to acheive our dreams. If a person is not yet prepared to handle the good value of wealth, then that person is not yet rich inside.

To say that money is evil is a total nonsense...Money is not evil, the LOVE for money is.. Greed, that would be the right word for that...Being rich is not bad, As long as you are not greedy and you share your blessings to other people..The problem is not with the "MONEY", because it's a thing, it cannot think..It's purpose is determined by the one who owns it..

Hi jadmari,Of course money isn't evil and poor people are not necessarily better than the rich. I know that idea has been around for a long time but surly there aren't many who feel that way today. The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil, but that's when you put money first in your life. Some people will kill for money and of course that is evil. Blessings.

if money is evil, then i wouldn't know how will my son get well. we need a huge amount of money for his surgery. if only those who have money and think money is evil, then let them donate their evil money so people who needs them like my son, can get well attended immediately with their health issues.

money is very important in our life, because we need money to live, not become slave of money.
the rich have much more money, but they need the feeling of happiness
the poor have few money or no money, but have good mind to face life, then lack of money.
in society, everything much keep contrast way to exist.
we should do that different level do the match things

You're right! money is not evil. It can be used for good things but it can also be used for the bad things. It just depends on the person handling the money. It is people who can choose to make themselves evil. But, money can tempt people to do evil. I believe this because nowadays, some families are fighting or even killing each other for money (i'm not only talking about poor people here but rich people too).

to do bad things and to do good things for fellow man...that's why sometimes we can talk like that money is evil..because some of us if have money they use it for own enjoyments i mean to be selfishness,but some of us too if have money it will use it for being a good human to helpful of people..that's the money..

Yes, I think you are right. If anything becomes an obsession and takes over your life, it is a bad thing though, and that goes for money too. So it is important to keep a balance in life.

Your right money is important in our lives.
Some people are poor because they can't get a job, it's not that they want to be poor. They end up stealing because they can't afford anything. This is why we need money so we don't end up like that.

I agree that money is not evil. It's one's attitude towards it that make it evil. If only one could learn how to use money to the fullest,control it than having it controlled you,then everybody would say that money really makes the world go 'round!
