I went to Vivekananda rock recently in Kanyakumari, India. It is the southern tip of India. It was a great ride. Its very peaceful there. Apart from that i travelled to Elly's Island and Statue of Liberty in a ferry boat in Newyork. Even that was a mind blowing ride which i will never forget. One of my life time dream came true. These two drives were different in their own sorts and i really enjoyed both of them. Its nice to travel to island which is far off from the country and have a rocking time there. I am sure I will travel more soon. Share ur thoughts on the same.

Sounds very fascinating and interesting. No, I have not traveled to an island in a boat. I can imagine it would be very enjoyable seeing the scenic ocean views. I have been to India twice, only to big cities. The next time I get the chance, I will try to visit the islands you mentioned. Thank you for the information.

Yup, last year we traveled in Taal volcano, Philippines. It's like a volcano in the center of a huge lake. An hour travel by boat and two to three hours of walk to get in the center of the cone. It was so amazing because we are able to see what's inside the center. It's like a huge sauna bath. The water's are boiling and fog is everywhere. We even boil eggs for our dinner, we really had a great time. :)

Of course! :)) The Philippines is an archipelago, and there are a lot of beautiful islands to see (by boat, usually). Me and my friends started going to famous destinations a few years back, and we have rounded up I think more than 5 of them already. Still, there's more! There are still a lot of places I want to visit in my own country (well, love your own. ;)) before I go out and travel abroad. I can't wait for our next adventure! :)) You should visit the Philippines, too. If you love nature-tripping, you'll definitely love all the beaches and sights here. :)

Yes I have too when i was still in school. I went to a small island with friends during school holiday. We went there by boat. The ride as scarry though because of the big waves. Anyway, we enjoy the visit because we were able to collect sea shell, simming and site seeing. It was a nice experience.

There are several islands in Denmark and I have visited some of them. Some of the islands are connected by bridges, but in many cases we have to travel by ferry if we want to visit one of the islands. I have visited Samsoe, Laesoe, Fanoe, Bjornoe, Avernakoe, Baagoe, Nekseloe and a couple of other islands where I had to go by ferry. Sometimes it only takes 15 minutes to get from one island to another and sometimes it takes a couple of hours or more. Bornholm is an island in Denmark, and part of my family lives there. In the past we had to travel by 3 different ferries to go there, but now some of the islands are connected by bridges, and we only have to catch one ferry to get there.

Yes, so many times. We have so many islands in my country; in fact, we have 7,107 islands, so we get to other cities or towns through a boat. I dont really like riding a boat because I easily get dizzy. But sometimes, it is also fun, especially when we go to another island to dive.

Yes! I have. Last summer with my friends, we were in New York City. That was our first time being in the City of lights all by ourselves without supervisors, but i've never been to New York at all except that summer, so i was really impressed and a bit freaked out...The city is soooo fast, everything about it...even time seemed to go as fast! Anyways, we had to take a boat to go to Ellis Island...there's soo much history in this island also. We all started searching for our ancestors and i've discovered that mine was French!...This really was the best memory and vacation ever!

I have experienced traveling to a small island in the summer of 2008. I was with my friend who was celebrating a feast in the hometown of her mother. We hopped in to a small pump boat with loads of stuff. I was a bit scared because when we were on our way towards the small island the weather went bad and big waves were rocking the small boat. When we arrived to the small island I was soaking wet with the splashes of the waves and drizzles from the sky. When we were in the island, I had a blast. Enjoyed the whole time eating seafoods and dancing disco music with my friends. When we were about to go home, we got stranded on the island for one day due to the storm that hit the island. We went home the next day and rocked the waves towards our the our city's port.

I always love to travel and plunge into great adventures. In college, my friends and I were really addicted to island hopping. One experience I wouldn't forget is when we went to an island near our place to conduct a study in requirement of our Environmental Journalism class. We went off by boat. There were eight of us including two boatmen. What happened was the boat stopped in the middle of the sea 'coz the machine went kaput. There was no way for us to get to the island but to wait for other boats to pass by. There was no signal (mobile) so we weren't able to inform anybody asap. There, we waited 'till one boat has passed us, so, we just tied a rope to the other boat and we were pulled off. It was kinda scary but 'twas fun too!

I've canoed to different islands and found it quite refreshing. It's so peaceful being out in the middle of nowhere. It seems like life in general just seems to get better being there, and getting away from everything for awhile helps you put things back into perspective.

That sounds like so much fun. I have never traveled by boat, but would really like to. I'm wanting to take a Carribean Cruise sometime, but so far it hasn't worked out that we can. I think being on one of the cruise ships would be so much fun. I enjoy traveling and visiting new places.

yes, I really do experience traveling by boat many times. I am originally from the Philippines and this country is composed of many islands. In order to go to the other, you have to travel either by boat of by plane. But boat is cheaper so, I usually travel by boat. Well, in smaller islands, we ride not actually the big boat but just a ferry boat. This is really cool. I also experience riding a barge. The one where the cars and other vehicles will be in it?

Even I went to Vivekananda rock in March this year. I do not feel it can be termed as island. It is just a rock that too near the beach. To justify the ferry charges, they do go a bit further and then make a U turn.
