Hello everyone! Okay remember when I told you guys of my son fracturing his right wrist in 3 places almost a couple of weeks ago? Well I was in search of an Orthopedic Surgeon in my area (Westchester County, NY) and everyone that I called shot me down saying that they don't accept my insurance (Emblem HIP through my employer). Well I finally found one last or so I thought anyway.
The first question I asked was, " Do you accept HIP?" and they told me yes. Now I go there this morning right only for them to tell me that they accept HIP Medicaid but not the HIP from my job. You could've fried an egg on my head this morning. This is how hot I was.
I was given the number to Montifiore Hospital which is in Bronx, NY. So I have to go there tomorrow morning. They squeezed me in for 8:30am because it's been nearly 2 weeks since the accident. I just can't wait because my son is really growing tired of having that splint on his arm and so am I. Take care and God bless! : )

I would be so pi$$ed too! I can not believe all the drama people have to go through to go see a doctor. Why couldn't it be more simple?
BLAH! Anyways, hope everything is ok with you and your son. All the best to you both!

This all happens. But it is good that you could get one for your son. Be careful next time. GOOD LUCK!

Wow, that's so ... terrible! Three weeks! I am really so upset at the problems that we have with the availability (or non-availabilty in most cases) of healthcare in this country simply based on what insurance you have, or if you DON'T have insurance (like me!). I am so sorry. I hope your son's wrist gets dealt with soon, and there are no further complications. It's ridiculous to me that someone should have to wait 3 weeks to have a problem like this attended to just because of insurance brand. :(
