Hi folks, me and my friends are planning to start a soap making business, so we need all the help we can get. Please help us by giving your thoughts about this kind of business and some good scents to begin with. Thanks to all MyLotters and have a nice day.

Lavender is always a popular fragrance....I guess it depends on which other scents you are thinkg about going with...herbal ones like rosemary can be popular too...Then there are fruity ones like lemon, strawberry, mango, banana...These are all popular...A favourite of mine is sandalwood too. I hope your business plan turns out well, I wish I knew how to make soaps as I've always wanted to make soap.

That is an excellent idea, the right place to get information is the internet. just type soap making and I tell you you will get a lot of information.

It would take reems to tell you all about my experiences with hand made soap. My mother used to make soap and tried all different kinds of scents and things. And we have a town up in the mountains where they are very into making soaps and all sorts of things with huckleberries. Cucumber is grand in anything and aloe vera has a nice scent for things. Easy to mix in with other scents too.

Hi! Happy Friday the 13th! There was a lady here that did organic soap making-she gave me a freebie-blueberry orange or something..I loved it but she was pricy! I mean,...would you pay $10 a soap? I think not! I think it's a great at home business and you can get creative and personal with them! Let me know when you get it going.

My mom makes herbal soaps as a hobby and the women of our church sell the soap for fund raising. People like it so much, her soap is always out of stock.
