The screen of my monitor is in intense danger of being whacked so hard that it will be knocked off my desk!
Why? Beacuse two persistantflys are driving me mad by flying round and round nad insisting on landing on my monitor!!
Is it just me or does anyone else get completely fed up of the little beggars buzzing around your head ?
The minute I pick up a rolled up newspaper and think I have the little beggars cornered - off they fly - they are driving me CRAZY!
JUST GO AWAY!!!
What on earth is the point of this stupid little insect??
Am I on my own or do any more of you feel like this about the stupid little fly?

LOL...I have other insects that get on my screen...little ones that are attracted to the light when I'm using my puter in the dark. Earlier this summer we had a home invasion of about 200 flies but my daughter zapped them with bug spray and I haven't seen any since. I had to yell at her before she vacuumed up their little corpses, which I found almost as annoying as the buzzing around my head! grrrr (sometimes my daughter makes me crazy!)

Hi Oldchem, I must have their brother here at mine as I have onekeep landing on my screen too. So annoying. I don't see the point in them either other than spider food, I have fly strips up but some still manage to get through into the loune. Huggles. Ellie :D

oldchem1,
I know I may be cynical here, but whatever happened to the thought of using that good old insecticide we use to know?
Sure beats whatever annoyance you are experiencing now.
Take care.

Ohhhhh I know what you mean!! I can't stand a fly either because they're so gross and nasty!! They land on anything and then think it's ok to land on our things too. Ewwwww!!!! I have a fly swatter nearby all the time to catch them pain in the butts!! If I can't catch them with a fly swatter then I'll use my hand!! Heck, I have disinfectant soap!! lol

My experience was worse. I was using my laptop, it was raining outside, and I had all the lights turned off when suddenly, hundreds of flying insects came hovering on my screen and on me, crept up my sleeves, and into my pajamas. And yes I did question why they had to exist.
Insects are naturally attracted to the light. I'm sorry but the only way I got rid of those insects was to turn off my laptop.

Hiya chem,
Flies can be very annoying. I find them most annoying when they are "silly and lazy" when stormy weather is due to break but it does´nt in the end sometimes does it?
So I do try to keep them out by inviting to go out through the open windows if I can. They hate the smell of cider vinegar so if I totally spooked out with them out comes the lemon and the cider vinegar maybe I can´t swat them all at once but they sure do keep away most times.
They also hate peeled garlic too I know none of that is nice to have around but it´s better than those awful sticky tape things that the Flies can get caught on.
I do not like Wasps at all but I have overcome my fear of them and now they don´t bother like they used to. Wasps to me are much worse than flies a fly won´t sting you in any case but a Wasp has other ideas I reckon.

Spider food naturally. We don't seem to get many. I guess that they don't like vertical blinds- perhaps they look like a solid curtain, so they don't try to fly (unintended pun)through them.
They could be here for another purpose. To annoy us.
I was going to post a spider on here, then thought better of it in case someone with arachnophobia opens it.

Its happens sometime...
