India

Hi friends, environment is it all ours means all people responsibility or else its only Government responsibility? Because whenever some one cutting the tree then nobody will go and ask why they are cutting the tree. Just we will say that "oh they are cutting the tree don't know the reason let it be". I think we should think and we should take responsibility to save trees then only we all can live on earth for a long time. What is your opinion friend?

Yes each one should be responsible and learn to protect the environment. Because it is us that shapes us our own destiny. Not anyone else can change it. What we do is going to affect our future generations. So whatever we do is not only for our self but also for future generations. Man has entirely been dependent on nature for everything and he doesn't seem to care much for anything else. It is high time someone made man aware of what is going on around here and who's in charge on things. He has to learn to control his needs and his demands. Only then can he learn to change himself.

Hi raviteja_ravi84, You are indeed correct about whose responsibility it is to take care of our environment, not just for ourselves but also for our future generations. We, collectively in one way or another, have contributed to the decline of our environment. Our society would not have moved forward without the use of our natural resources. The problem with progress is, it sometimes causes depletion of some of our natural resources. Greedy citizens and businesses never give the environment a second thought if it gets them what they want. Large companies have depleted our trees, which help clean the air. They pollute the air and water with chemicals from their factories. These chemicals, do and will continue, prehaps for generations, to cause incurable diseases. We as individuals have done our share of polluting our environment as well. We use household cleaners and other product that are harmful, we don't recycle for reuse, and we don't take care of our vehicles so they don't pollute the air No one person or industry is at fault for the woes of our environment. Collectively, we caused the problems and collectively we need to fix them.

Environment is such an issue, that one can play the "blame game" ! Even though a leader is responsible for the work he does, but what about the workers ? i.e. we citizens ? Simply from using vehicles to cutting trees, we are responsible. Shouldn't we be the one to take the initiative of protecting our environment . Even though there are laws to check the violation of Environment, but every law is broken and the people who are there to check for the laws are also responsible, because Corruption comes in role. At the end its up to us how we protect our Environment.

It is God's responsibility. God put us here uncontrollably ruining nature. depleting lives of creatures to extinction. Maybe if god did not make humans, earth will probably be a better place.

Hi sach! If the environment fails, everyone suffers. And the opposite is also true. It makes sense that caring for the environment cannot come from the top alone. The governments or the NGOs are there to guide and lead but honestly caring for the environment is everyone's responsibility. Bringing along our own grocery bag the next time we shop may be one small step but done globally would have a profound impact on the environment and more done over a period of time. We could save more of the earth's resources with every little decisive step.

That is for sure if environment fails means the next second we will suffer and may be we will not be alive on this earth. Leading a particular matter is not an important thing we have to support them that is our responsibility.

Environment is the responsiblity of all the living things in it.If the environment is polluting means we all are responsible.Hence environment is the collective responsiblity of both the government and the people. We cannot blame only government fot environment being spolied

We have to be informed that it wasn't only the government's responsibility to take care of our environment, it is every individual's responsibility. The very role of government is to guide people on how to care for our mother earth and punish those who are abusing it. And our role was the biggest portion of the picture. By simply taking good care of our trashes, putting them on the right place is really a big help for saving mother nature. We can help save our home, we just have to know were part of this whole famiLy whose Living in our home called, EARTH!

Hello, Sach, you started a meaningful topic here I think everybody on the Earth should take responsibility for environment, but government should play a more important role - it is a leader. Government should teaches each citizen the importance of environmental protention. They should teaches kids when they're in kindergarten, school. And they also should do something others on it. Like you said, cutting trees are very harmful for environment, but for an uneducated person, s/he don't know it, but only knowing cutting trees make them rich. Right? If you told them it were wrong, they might think you were mad. Another thing, these days, our government encourage people buy cars, more and more cars make environment worse and worse. But they only think about economical things. Generally speaking, I think government should be a leader and everyone should be responsible, too.

Sometimes when we say everybody is responsible for something, it usually means nobody is really taking the lead in that responsibility. Although I'm not sure if this applies to the environment. Supposedly, we have the government to take that lead. But if you are talking about all the countries in the world, and everybody is responsible, then it just means nobody is taking the lead again.

We do not have an indefinite amount of time to correct or control environmental problems.I think Environment is shared responsibility and it can not be placed into a shoulder of a particular person or organization.changing of individual making huge difference when every one take care about environment. So every one is the responsibility for the environment. It is OURS RESPONSIBILITY because we are part of it.

Environment is everybody's concern. Let us not pass on to others, our government, to the schools or to any other organization to take care of it. I started a discussion yesterday related to this. Aside from the trees, the trash should also be recycled. We can do a lot of simple things for our environment. Collectively, it is of great impact. Good day my friend.

Whose Responsibility? It has been only in the last few decades that the global community has realized that we have the responsibility to deliver a clean and peaceful planet to our future generations. It has been only in the past few years that the global community has begun to take this realisation seriously and move from theoretical commitments to the actual implementation of corrective measures to change polluting and destructive practices and activities. As we move into a new century, and millennium, the global community is running out of time.

Caring for the environment is everybody's responsibility. We can contribute in our little way at our own home by doing waste segregation and recycling.

Environmental damage occurs as a result of work of human hands of irresponsible use of resources contained in nature. If the destruction of the elements of the environment is continually allowed to take place, the quality of the environment will get worse. Therefore, human beings as actors most responsible for preserving the environmental balance and need to make efforts to restore the balance of the environment to human life and other living areas can be continued.

Everyone is responsible for the environment since we all live in earth. Each one of us can put even a little bit of effort such as saving electricity and water to save our resources. We have lots of laws on environmental issues but the main problem is that there are not enough people to see that these laws are being implemented. Someone will surely violate these environmental laws and take advantage of nature if there is not enough people to see to it that these law breakers would go to jail. Pity that sometimes the government don't give that much budget of environmental protection.
