Today 8/16 is a festival of all the lovers in China,it's actually the Valentine Day in China. It comes from a fairy tale which I wanna share with u there . Long long ago, gods live above the clouds in the sky,and human nature are beneath it. One day seven fairies gone down away from their own yard sneaking to the human world to take a shower in a pond surrounds a village,in the moment when they were gonna to go back home, they were gonna to be found by a unnamed herdsman passed by. One fairy came to the guy to draw his attenton away from the other 6 partners, during the time they were talking, some chemistry happened, they fell in love with the first glance...... So, the fairy decided to stay in the human with the herdsman, they had an admirable family in the old village, the angle was good at weaving while the man took the responsibility of herd cattle.......... Couple of years later, the fairy was forced be divorced from her husband when her mother found it and take it as a biggest insult to the entire clan, what's worse, they were forbidden to meet forever and seperated.Could only crane at both sides cluttered with missing in mind...... Someday, the magpies cannt blink at the scene anymore, they decide to do something,so millions of magpies flied into the sky and built a bridge with their bodies to connect the sky and the earth, the lover could meet at last through the “bridge”everyyear at the same time....... It becomes a custom as the time goes by,a sort of festival to commemorate it........ Today is the day the lover meet in the sky as well as all the lovers in China..

Actually it isnt a important festival in China. And recentlly it has become Valentine Day in China. On that day, bussiness men are so happy, because they can make more money from lovers. For me,it is just a common day in a year. If you really love your lovers, everyday is Valentine Day in your heart.

Maybe if this ancient Chinese festival is getting more and more popular, that means he has to pay more for his girlfriend on that day. That will really make him feel sad.

WOW,as a Chinese in myself,I feel a bit weird to hear your telling Chinese fairy tale in English words. Yeah, when I still was a little girl,I heard about that romantic story already. It is the original source of Chinese Valentine Day.But just then I was curious that why all the love fairy tales in China try to describe a romantic story that a female fairy falls in love with a human male, and why the role who own magic ability can't be the male? Probably this phenomenon reflects that our ancients' daydream to some extent.(especially for these ancient men in China).

Nice to meet u there, really nice,it's my delight Happy mylotting and keep dropping by

Sorry for my typing mistake.... It's a real beautiful story with a little dreary odor, cause it doesnt have a regular happy ending.

Today it is our Valentine's Day. However, I don't think anything special today. It is just as a normal day. In fact in the past this festival was not so popular. Perhaps the department stores want to have a good selling and therefore they emphasize this festival. As to me, I pay attention to February 14th much more:) I love China

What a beautiful story involving nature and humans, imaginary characters and the usual strictness of parents LOL. Its such tales of folklore and myth that enrich our lives and it also shows that the feeling of love and the pains of separation are the same everywhere …it was the same years ago and will remain so as long as the beautiful emotion of love is there in nature. How do the present generation celebrate this day in your place?

Wow, what a love story. Anyway, it is nice to hear such a story that became part of your life out there, especially lovers. I envy your 'bridge in the sky' thing. I like it.

I do have a girlfriend, but she is about seven years old than me.That is quite a problem in the traditon of China, yesterday she left me for home and I have to spend the festival with myself. It is quite terrible! Next month , I will leave this city, maybe it is also an end of our love.Whatever the result is, I hope she will be happy !
