It is how long you wrote a letter and have posted it in the post box to your friend. For me I have totally forgot that. Everything is running on the net itself. Share your comments please.....

Ya - I do understand that because when all the work is being completed with a PC then we need not search for something to write at all.

Letters and that too in the age of internet and cellphones? You must be kidding! Thats what you would be telling me in a few seconds - I wrote a letter to my cousin who stays 1590 kilometers away and is studying archaeology. And this is not in the distant past... just a 15 days old thing. We are in touch with each other and prefer to use this media coz this is still reliable and better when you do not have much of Internet accessibility and the SMS texting is limited to 140/160 characters. I prefer writing on pen and paper still today when the world is shifting to emails and Cellphones.

Hello hand written letters have their own charm, i write to my close friends and sons almost every week, i post them from local post office; this i think essential too because it keeps my hand writing still good, more over i write my reseach papers in pen and paper.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor

Hi Busybee10, Even during the time that emails didn't exist yet, I rarely write a letter that needed to be posted in the post office. Here, post offices are quite difficult to reach and therefore, I avoid going to them unless it's quite necessary. Even with emails, I don't always use them to write letter. I prefer to chat with people rather than wait for replies that takes long wait. Have a nice day!
