Nobody or Somebody?

I have just seen the movie "Igor"...it was an animated movie, wherein a hunchback dreams of being an evil scientist, however, in their place, people like him are just assistants to the evil scientists. nevertheless, he struggled to reach his dream. But his invention, a woman who is supposed to be a monster, turned out to be a good hearted creature...in one part of the movie, the invention of Igor said, "I'd rather be a good nobody than become an evil somebody." It was a nice thought. but in real world, there are people who really will do everything just to get what they want and be popular...have you ever done something bad to have an edge over someone?

well I guess as long as we don't hurt anyone, we can do things that will make us happy

Not since I was a teenager. There were a couple of times as a teen when I did or said something that was not too nice to someone so other people would think that I was cool. I always felt bad about it and then I decided that it was not me, I was not a cruel person and I did not want to be a cruel person and people could either like me or not like me but I was not going to hurt someone else any more to become accepted. It has kind of been my life's motto. In the work place if hard work was not going to get me ahead then so be it, I refused to step on someone else or stab someone in the back to get ahead. If an employer did not see my value based on my work then it was time to move on.

I guess when we are young we didn't know that it is something bad, we just thought it is a simple act. thanks for sharing. =)
