can you ever walk past a book shop without going in?

my love of books has been a life long passion. my home as a result can often resemble a rather untidy library even though i can locate a certain subject matter very quickly. with this in mind i still find it almost impossible to pass a bookshop or a place known to sell used/cheap secondhand books. can you resist the lure of a bookshop?

Absolutely not. It's like an invisible cord pulls me in. People with me know if we pass a book shop, I'm going to want to go in.

I can, if I really have to, but it is very hard, haha! One of my dreams is actually to have my own big library at home, so I need to work towards that goal. And I really love reading, so why not? I don't always buy something when I go to a bookshop though!

I can not say that I can resist them. I am also a huge book lover. I also have an on line used book business so you can probably tell that I love books. I always like to go in to book stores and I almost always buy something, you would think I would have enough books by now, but I still always find something I want. I really love cookbooks too so I will often buy one if the price is right.

I really prefer used bookstores, so if I pass one I have to go in. I may not always leave with a book, but I enjoy looking at them.

Hi Gnomeland, Just like you, I love books yet if I know that my budget does not allow me to buy a book, I avoid the path that would lead me to a bookstore because if I am lured to enter the shop and found something I really want to buy but can't, I am surely to become frustrated. Buying books has become a habit for me but since I got married and started to have kids, my budget for books has been divided and distributed to more important needs of the family. When I find that there is still enough to buy me a book, that's the only time I go to bookstores to find something that is of interest. I just wish I can still buy as many as I used to in the past. A good day to you!

I like to go into bookshops but I mainly just browse because I usually don't buy books, if I want them, I'll get them online cheaper or I'll go to my library and ask for it.

Yup! Really easy actually haha the only way I can't walk past by a book store without taking a look inside is by noticing something that grabs my interest such as Manga (Naruto in particular) ^_^

I also love books, but I can resist book shops. Especially when I don't have any money. But my brother is a bookworm. He can't pass by a bookstore without going in. He's only 12, so I am going inside with him and we're spending at least 30 minutes inside.
