Some colleagues are just colleagues. Some colleagues are also closed friends. I think the most important thing is to keep work and leisure separate, otherwise friendship will be affected by work conflicts. I have seen colleagues quarrel very violently over work, yet when they depart from office, they are great pals. I think that is the right attitude.

Hi! I think all of your colleagues can not be your friends. I have few friends amongst many colleagues and I open up with select few. Friends could be colleagues but all colleagues can not be friends.

I think you have to be very careful in the workplace who you befriend. Because of past experience I would rather keep it professional with co-workers especially if their managers, if you choose to be friends with co-workers than choose wisely but dont put all your cards on the table the office is the best place for backstabbing.

Most of them are colleagues. And it is preferable to keep a distant relationshp with them. Very few are friends. U must spot the very few.

Yes, my colleagues are my friends, but i draw a line that divides us when we are at work. There is a big difference between your relationship with someone as friend and as a colleague. Don't mix them up. Work is work, i mean.. when at work you must both function as a team to achieve result for the success of your team. Now, outside work... no problem, be with each other naturally, easily, lightly.. forget about work. Just don't mix your friendship with your respective functions at the office.
