Parenting Fail - A Florida Mom named Rachel Stieringer thought it would be 'cute' to post a picture of her baby 'smoking a bong' on Facebook. - The baby was not smoking a bong, the joke was not cute, and no one is laughing. Certainly not the authorities, and now, not 19 year old Rachel, the baby's mother. Rachel was arrested for, let's see, possession of drug paraphernalia. Yup, drug paraphernalia, cuz that is what that green bong is.

Certainly not the authorities, and now, not 19 year old Rachel, the baby's mother. Rachel was arrested for, let's see, possession of drug paraphernalia. Yup, drug paraphernalia, cuz that is what that green bong is. - Clay County Sheriff's deputies said Stieringer turned herself in July 29 and was released on $502 bond. - Well, the kid's OK, no drugs in the little system, no signs of abuse, just a load of stupid, plus Facebook. - Well, off the soapbox for now...

How much smart do we think these kids have... Babies having babies, its not like they have been TAUGHT to be a grown up, just because their bodies can reproduce doesn't mean they have the sense God gave a goose!

It is really sad, and you wonder if this stupidity is generational. Young mom is clueless because her mom was clueless, or abused or whatever. Young people nowadays seem to run to extremes.

Reading this post reminds me, my daughter's former roommate recommended her as an outstanding young alumnae of their college (she did not win.) Her friend said it was because she is a mom, and a good one, and no one ever recognizes people for that. I am proud of her friend for saying something. My daughter just finished a round trip of about 1500 miles, just her and her preschooler and toddler to visit family all the way from Minnesota to Oklahoma. Of course good moms need good partners as well. She has one.

She should have been charged with child abuse as this is ridiculous for her to think it was funny. I find it offensive that people could think that something like is humorous in some way. Hope she gets more than a slap on her hand so that she will never forget what an awful thing she has done.
