Gissi is back

Just to let you all know Gissi is back, he is charging about the Field, bouncing about, full of energy and cheek
Basically Gissi is much better, he is still on is Steroids he has half a Steroid every 4 Days as I am trying to leave more Days in between him having them so I am really hoping that when he does eventually finish them he stays well
He is eating well again and has put weight back on so he is back to being my happy little Boy
As for me I will find out on September 23rd when I go to see my Consultant if they are going to do Lung Surgery apart from that everything is fine
I am still in Pain and loss of energy most of the time ( have asked Gissi to give me some of his but he said no, lol) but I holding up and just so happy to have my little Gissi well again

Oh that is wonderful news...It's awful when a beloved pet is not themselves..
Penny isn't doing well. Yesterday she didn't eat like she usually does and in the middle of the night she had an accident, loose bowels, on my sons floor..And here it is almost 2 hours after that time she usually comes to me demanding food and she is just laying here. As annoying as it is when she hits me with her paw, I miss it now..:(

Well, she got her distemper shot, but that was Saturday. When Ciara had her problem, it was within 24 hours, not days..And it never interfered with her eating. When I fed them tonight, my son shook Penny's dish to get her over, and then she ate. Whereas before I am fighting her to get the dish down before she stuffs her face in it..

Hiya Sweetie that is great, I have missed the little fellow, I hope you are ok, Wolfie is much happier now, the Summer is nearly over, wooohoooo! I am off for a week next month, hired out a bungalow for a weeks break on the Isle of Wight, can't wait, get away from everything! Missed you both. I am glad that Gissi is getting well. Hope you are doing good too.
Here summer is going really hard. But I think it is better than inches of snow and ice. I am not looking forward to winter at all. How is the weather for you guys there?

Aww, that's good gabs. I'm glad to hear Gissi is up to feeling better now and eating too.
Now as for you..what lung surgery? What did I miss? What have they found out? Yes, you hang in there girlfriend and take it easy. Rest as much as you can.

Hi Kash you didn't miss anything as this is the first time I have mentioned it
My Lungs do not have enough room to expand and this is causing the Pain and the worse case of my breathing so they need to remove some of each Lung which aparently will make it a bit better

When is all this going to happen and who is going to take care of you and Gissi? You certainly need someone there while you're recuperating. Please try to keep us informed as to what is going on, ok hon? Sending prayers and hugs..

flu I am fine. I am so glad to hear Gissi is back and full of his old'energy. My little man in the doggy suit is back and I am really
grateful as I know how much he means to you and to us all his friends here too. Ihope things get better health wise for you and if you have to h ave lung surgery it goes well and makes you feel better once all healed.wish we could have a nice brisk rain to cool things down a bit. we wanted summer and summer we have finally got. wow.

Well Jo they might not have a choice as my Lungs have no room to expand which is causing the Pain and the reason my breathing is worse then normal so it could be the only chance to stop this
I certainly am happy that my little Gissi is back to himself

Its good to hear Gissi is back to his "bad" self again! Let's just keep him that way!
As for you, well, we want you back to being your "bad" self again too! I pray you don't have to have surgery, but if that's what it takes to FIX you, then have at it!
As for me, well, I'm ready for the heat to break, we did have a little cool front come in last night, and it was 10º cooler today - 95 instead of 105!

Well it has cooled down here a lot and we are having a lot of Rain to
It looks like the Surgery will be the only thing to help as my Lungs do not have enough room to expand any more which is causing the Pain and making my Breathing even worse then what it is

My Dear Gabs, I couldn't be any happier to hear that Gissi is
back! Tell him his Auntie Opal and Cousins Star & Luna are so
happy too! The boys seem to be better since I took them to the
Vet (and spent $405) to find out nothing seems to be wrong!
Luna has stopped doing "pukeys" since they "groomed" him! I
told you he thinks he's a dog! I love and miss you both and
hope to talk to you both soon!

Hello gabs8513, I have not commented before, but do recall a couple of your discussions I had read. Great news about Gissi, hope the road for Gissi is a fruitful one.
As for you sorry to hear about your possible surgery, hope the visit to your Consultant is a positive one, and if surgery is required perhaps a second opinion may be required.

There is no need for a second opinion Sweet, I have emphasimia and COPD and have had it for 7 years now and basically the lungs have got worse and need to be reduced as they have no room to expand now
My Consultant is a great Guy and I trust him all the way, all the tests and X-Rays have been done and the scans they are all showing the same
I just need Gissi to stay well now lol

No you haven't missed anything I have just not said anything
The second X-Ray came back the same as the first and it is showing my Lungs do not have enough room to expand so they are looking at removing some of each Lung to give more space but I have to wait to know for sure that is the action they will be taking I hope they do something as sometimes the Pain is horrible

I miss everyone but I am so glad that Gissi is back to his self I really hope he stays that way now, he has been through so much for the last 10 months I just hope it is all under control now

Hi gabs! I am so glad to hear that gissi is getting back to his self again. I know how it feels to have an ill pet that you are very close too. I hope that when you see your consultant that he will give you some medicine so that you can keep up with that gissi..lol...then tell me what it is so I can ask my doctor for some too...

Hi Gabs,
I hope things would turn in your favor and I pray that you be well. I hope you will get well without the surgery. I've had surgery 2x already and geez the body is no longer the same pre-surgery. The anesthesia has really taken effect on whereby I keep forgetting things ugghhh I never believed in it till I experienced it myself. I am glad that Gissi boy is doing just fine.
