Do you BElieVE the world would be more at peace without religion?

The world would be more at peace if people followed the teachings of their religions, instead of twisting them to their own purposes.

Hi Crazy, here I come to trouble you again. :) I think we human beings are incorrigible. If it was not religion, we would find something else to fight about. We are basically bad. We need to say we are richer than other person, we are more beautiful than the others, we are more talented, more honest, our religion is superior, what nots. So it is always one man upship. Towards this objective, we get greedy, and do a whole lot of wrongs. Religions - all - without exception - are good things. It is the preachers who are wrong, and followers who are wrong. Christ didnt say dont believe in that religion, he said there is only one god. That didnt mean others couldnt pray to him by different names. If others gods were any different, would those inferior gods have managed to create anything equally good - like a human being? So why doubt others belief. I dont like people trying to say theirs god is the best or superior. It makes me feel they are not sure about their belief that is why they are trying to reinforce their beliefs by repeating that ever so often. Sorry - this is my take on religion. Not a very traditional Hindu lady, am I? :)

And finally, a serious post from Crazy! Anyway, religion is only as good as how you make your own person to be.

The world will be more at peace without PEOPLE'S THOUGHT! That's my opinion. Religions are also people's thought. Even if all religions have vanished, we also have isms... always people can find a reason to start a war.

Herewith is strictly my opinion and not be be imposed on anyone as what is right for me may not be right for others. - Thought I throw in that disclaimer before I upset anyone who perhaps feels the opposite and or differently. I believe that if in fact there were absolutely no beliefs in religion we would live in an absolutely destructive world. By this I mean those of us who truly believe in high up power and follow the teachings and or rules, to explain thou shall not steal and or kill. If we truly did not believe in the consequences in the after math then we would honestly not care and actually commit such horrible crimes and acts. Therefore the world would be filled with just one kind. This is not saying that religion is responsible for not committing crimes it is of my opinion that it certainly assists with diswaying anyone to commit.
