Since we saw each other last. . .. When have you said that to someone? Did you

catch that person up on your life after you said it? While I was offline or since I was here often the last time: I paid off my car. I'm about to pay off my mortgage. I'm still stressing because I have a bunch of insurances due and taxes in the next couple of months. Our vehicles are taking turns breaking down. His truck,my car,his truck, my car, his truck, etc., that all started as soon as my husband lost his job. He's on unemployment and I'm not employed very often. 2 days a week is about it. But it's better than none. I got a lot of money one week because I was able to find lots of work and between my medications and gas to go to work, it was all gone in 20 minutes. 5 minutes to gas up the car to full and 15 to refill prescriptions. That was disheartening. Most people think that now that my car is paid for and my house will be that we can make ends meet. We shall see. Insurances and taxes with him only making 1/2 the money, it's hard to know. I'd like to throw a "burn the morgage party" and thank all my friends that helped, but I need the money for my bills. Still, I'm happy I have paid off the car and will have the house paid off. Many people lost their cars and their homes before they could pay them off. I got bit by a deer fly and my face blew up. Esp. my eyes, my ocular rosacia got really bad and I'm on new meds. But I can see 20/20 so it didn't effect my sight and I'm doing great now. It could have been a lot worse, like I could have quit breathing or lost some vision. My eyes look like they aged 10 years in a couple of weeks (worse bags and more wrinkles), but I look better than when I was all bloated and disfigured looking. For the first time in my life, I'm making pies. The crust are edible, but they're not my Mom's pies. I've made blackberry, apple, and apple zuchini so far. I started wout with soupy pies, but I seem to have cured that problem. Creamy seems to be nice and slim now. He's giving himself a bath. He was a fat cat and he would wash his paws and that was it. He wouldn't wash anything else. He was greasy and matted. Everytime I brought him to a Dr., they had to give him a bath. I started rewarding him with a treat (actually, just some of his regular portions that I held back) when he washed. He's at 15 lbs and the Doctor said he's perfict now (he has a huge bone structure, my other cat, Baby is an average-sized cat and Creamcycle is twice as long). Cream is washing every part of himself. Quite a change from a cat that would walk two steps and collapse. Now he's even complaining that he's bored and wants things to do. I saw him run the other day. Our other cat pitter patterns, this one sounds like a gallooping horse. I missed my Mylot friends and getting to see where all my Georges went. Puerto Rico was sooo cool to see when I logged on. I still would like to do local money but unless I can figure out a way to get a grant, I can't print money, esp. when you consider all that goes into it and you need a local money changing/bank area and lots of logistics to figure out. My husband is going for walks every day and trying to complete some type of activity each day. There are so many things to fix around the house, that it's great that he's home. It would be better if we could somehow afford some of the bigger projects that really need to be done. He's taking everything in stride for now. But he's basically a positive person. Another one of my brothers is now diabetic. He has lost some weight and soon will be below the weight he needs to get off the medication if he can get off it. I think he'll be able to. I've learned how to run a cash register, not consistantly well, but better than when I started. I can also run a credit card machine. I've learned about some new products and it's fun to watch people in a gift shop. I've also brought people to the Doctors.

Wow, you had a lot going on..I guess I since I was able to go to the library at least once a week, I was able to keep everyone up to date with my life. The most exciting was writing my story, and now I am struggling trying to figure out if I should wait on sending my query because I am finding that that, though my story line is excellent, the way I write is not so..:(

Give it a shot. They refuse it, they refuse it. Try to send it to somewhere where they actually read it and critique it, like tell you why they're refusing it. You never know, you might be surprised and they might accept it.

It sounds like you are doing very well for yourselves. Most people pay on their mortgage for thirty or more years. Having two cars paid off is no small feet either. You are keeping going and not feeling defeeted. That is so great! Baby and Creamcycle sounds lovely. Keep on keepin' on.

My car is paid off, but his truck isn't. I'm 6 months ahead of schedule for the car and way ahead of schedule on the house. My birthday (Feb) 2012 was supposed to be the house, but back when I had money, I paid ahead when I could and I would also round the amount up every month a dollar or two, even when I didn't have much money to spare. My mortgage was 15 years and I did it in 2 1/2 years less. It was planned to be done on my 55th birthday. But they're dragging it out with all kinds of crazy other fees like a recording fee for $50. So hopefully, that is the last charge because my principal is supposed to be paid off. The interest is supposed to be paid off. So hopefully they won't invent another fee.

Yes, with this recession, being able to pay things off is major. Now I have insurances for everything coming up as well as taxes. If I can make it through Sept. and Oct., I should do fine until I have to worry about those all again, every 6 motnhs we have to swet it. Oh well. For a couple of months this summer, I didn't have to worry about medical bills, insurances or taxes. That was glorious. To now swet paying bills. I can't wait for the day that is 12 months a year, if it ever happens. Even 10 months would be good. But 2 months this year is better than the last few years. So thank you and take care.

Well, this must be a great feeling to have these things nearly paid off. I have had my car for so long I have kind of taken the fact that it has been paid off for granted. Your house being nearly paid off is major. I would love to have a house paid off. I have always rented but a home would grand at this time in my life.
