Yes it's that time again. The Minnesota Renaissance Festival has started. I'll be going with my neice, her bf, and her kids as well. I am hoping to get my wife to finally go to it. She'd love all the shops of home made things. I love all the acts that roam around as well. My fave is the Joust act. A lot of fun and a lot to see as well. Do you have this in your area? Do you attend it? What's your favorite thing about the RenFest? http://www.renaissancefest.com/MRF/ HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

There's one this weekend at the Medieval village in Cosmeston. It's not strictly a Rennaissance festival as there's Vikings, pirates, Romans, Saxons, Medieval people and lots more besides. They really know their stuff and there are a lot of re-enactments throughout the day. The only down part is that there are always too many things I want to buy. Mead for example!

Ours here in Minnesota runs weekends and Labor Day starting in mid August. I've bought my share of things there. It is costly but so worth it I feel. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I went yesterday and had so much fun! It was actually really sunny, unusual for Wales and I behaved myself too. Only bought a few books and some heather and mead ale. Yum!

hi Grandpa bob oh that used to have a renaissance festival arou nd here somewhere in Orange co. My husband used to say we will have to go see that, but he kept putting it off, and finally he was gone suddenly so I never got to see it;the jousting I would have loved to see and the Medieval costumes that they all wore. too they had a Medieval dinner for people and all the foods of that time too.The men and women servers would all be in medieval costumes. so I never did get to see it just once. It looks like a really fun even and I am sure you and all your family 'will really enjoy it too. Happy festival and happy mylotting.

The joust event is the best I feel. They have a lot of entertainment all day all over the grounds. It's set up at a State Park with many acres of things to see and walk. I take my Cypress walking stick I bought 3 years ago there. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Sadly, I have never been to the Renaissance Fair/festival at all either. I do know they are fun and would like to go sometime with my family. Enjoy yourselves, GB!!

I am not sure when ours is, exactly. It is a four hour drive from here, and i have never been. I think it ends in October. I hope you all have a good time.

I've only been to a few Renfaires, and I can't say exactly that I enjoyed them that much...
