hi mylotters and friends. this discussion is based on my future with mylot. as of right now, im not sure how long i will be a member. to be honest mylot is a lot of work. i know, i know...the experience is great. but i really don't know my future with this site. i don't know how long i will be a member. to tell you the truth, now that i reached payout mylot has nothing for me to accomplish until they take the payments away from me. so i've been really lazy participating in this site. anyone have an opinion? or felling the same way?

I share your concerns and I agree with you that mylot is a lot of work because you have to be very very active and use the search bar and stuff. I personally think that yeah, mylot really is a lot of work but only if you look at it as work. I think you should enjoy that it's a social networking sites where you and your friends could contribute or create a pool of ideas and you could also find out what other people are thinking about certain topics. I believe you just have to find joy and fun in answering topics and being as active as you are in popular social networking sites like facebook, myspace etc. Anyhow, I don't think this principle of enjoying your work only applies to mylot. I think it applies to almost all of the things we do like school stuff, or work. In order for you to not lose confidence and faith in what you do, and for you to be able to see its advantages and thus be motivated, you have to really enjoy what you're doing. I think it's the best way to make things easier and fun for anyone.

I think that feeling will hit me when I recieve my payment and my balance goes to 0. I don't know if I'll be able to handle looking at that number very long.. Doesn't matter though, I'll be deleting this account soon and creating a new one. Maybe starting fresh will make things more interesting, who knows. Getting rid of all my useless interests is something I look forward to accomplishing. When I joined I checked off almost everything, I sure don't post in all those sections.

I will I'll be adding all my old friends back. I know, for me a fresh start is a good thing though. I think when I signed up I wasn't really understanding the site, didn't know the rules, didn't know what I was doing, etc. I think my reputation could have been better if I knew what I was doing when I had signed up.

I haven't been here too long and I am still learning and figuring things out..... Is there a limit on how much you can earn a day from discussions?? What is the most that anyone has ever earned in a single day from discussions alone??

Hello Keshia 2007r, This is a very interesting topic to me. Well, I think so long as you enjoy participating in discussions, mylot will be not be a tiresome work for you. I don't even consider it as a work, I consider it as a site I could share my thoughts and problem, a site I could enhance my English grammar, a site where I could earn money in a decent way while meeting people from different country and learning some of their values and cultures. I have been a member in mylot for over 2 years now I guess. During my first few months I've been very addicted in mylot. In fact I was able to start over 100 discussion in a span of 3-4 months. After that, I mellow down and only visit every after a while. I never think of quitting mylot though. For me it is a nice leisure time.

Hi Keshia, Working on most of these sites will take hard work, some are harder than others. I don't know what your decision is about leaving myLot, but I would hate to see you leave. Maybe just take a leave of absence to refresh your mind, then comeback and get back to work. Take Care

Yes, I am like you too. I am one of those members that have joined a few months ago upon a recommendation from one of my online friends. It does seem like a lot of work to be online here everyday to earn just a few cents. So I just take a break from posting for a while so I can come back refreshed and ready to go. Because if its too much of a nuisance and you're too busy to be here then its really not fun anymore.

i completely understand. thanks for sharing. when you are to busy to start or respond to discussions it does get to be more of a annoying and not fun.

I completely understand where you are coming from friend as I have been very active and enjoy all the discussions. Many say it is a great earning site, but my debts say other wise. Although I am an avid responder I am burnt with no way out. Therefore, I outside of begging employers for a routine paycheck I do not see me surviving strictly on just being a great friend. Each day I see my earning I smile with glee, then frown at the moment the balance dropping if even a few cents. Perhaps I can return someday a few minutes here and there but knowing my persona it would suffer a great deal, as I cannot see me just on her a minute or two so unfortunately my friend I too am in same predicament. Best of luck of you are not able to continue as I will remember your discussions as they were very interesting.

I am still fairly new here, yet to reach payout. I felt frustrated recently with this site because you do have to work very hard and you don't make a lot for how much you put into it. Then I decided to look at this more like Facebook. When I first started that I was on for hours and believe me was not getting paid, so I look at this now the same way and the money is just an added bonus.

I've done the same thing Keshia.. I have left for months.. If you have any money in your account just check in once in awhile before 90 days so you don't lose it. But I would get bored and go do lots of other things and be away for months adn then come back and it was really refreshing. You don't have to go away as long.. But sometimes you do need a break. I often came back because I could use some extra cash.. or sometimes FACEBOOK just gets boring. LOL Either way- I wouldn't cancel your account.. you'll probably have an interest in coming back at another time.. and lots of us will still be here.. lol

I have had that feeling many of times! I stay because I want to! I don't make payout every month! I decided with it being hard for me to reach payment every month I do it every other month! Less stress and worry for me that way! It works for me! It might not for you but I have been on longer. You have to set goals. That is my advice!

I had the same feelings when I started out. And after I reached my first payout. It was a lot of stress trying to make it every month. But you know what I did? I eliminated that pressure of trying to make it every month. So, now I just enjoy the discussions and the friends. Don't pressure yourself. Just enjoy the experience.
