When you make salsa what do you put in it? I use tomatoes, onion, peppers, cilantro and salt. What do you use when you make yours?

I make mine basically the same as you except I do add some canned green chiles to it. I mad my first batch about a month ago when all the tomatoes were at their peak in my yard! We had so many ripe at the same time I didn't know what to do with them all!

I have never made my own salsa. I have watched my sister-in-law make it. She seems to do the same thing you do, but also adds bits of jalapeno pepper. I always buy store bought salsa. Our local grocery store sells this amazing salsa. It is so good! It is freshly made and sold at their deli. I just love it.

I put tomatoes, onions, jalepeno peppers, cilantro, I also add a little of olive oil, like just a teaspoon full, and then some salt to taste. I don't make it all that often. I don't like it that much at all. When I make it is usually for cookouts or parties for other people and not so much for myself. I'll eat it if I am hungry, though. :]

I like to put a little garlic in it too. I just discovered how to make it and it is so good when it is made fresh. It's just so expensive!

I make several different types of salsa, one of my favourite and one that is so different is a strawberry salsa. All you need to do is to Imix together some chopped strawberries, balsamic vinegar, red currants and chopped mint leaves. Stir them together well and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving, it is really lovely. Another one I do is a roasted pepper salsa; I roast a red and a yellow pep-per for 20-25 minutes until they become black and blistered - I leave them to cool then peel them, take the seeds out and chop up the peppers, I mix this pepper with chopped cherry tomatoes, chopped basil and balsamic vinegar - it is delicious and I would really recommend it - especialy if serving chicken or fish

Tomatoes, onions, birds eye chili, salt and vinegar or lemon or lemon salt. I don't cook my salsa. I just mis it all up in a bottle and let it sit for about an hour, until all the flavors marry.
