Success and the people that you surround yourself with.

The old saying goes as " show me your friend I will tell your character" The same applies to what you have said.If you are in good company of friends you not only enjoy but also prosper in making wealth.It all depends upon you while choosing friends. If you choose the company of boozers or gamblers you may initially enjoy their company and ultimately you regret but it may be too late.

I think there is some truth to that for sure. It gives you the illusion that success is achievable, first of all, which is very inspirational. And they can also give you tips and ideas if they have managed to become successful themselves.

having positive people around you does help because their presence triggers a similar desire to be successful. however, even if one is surrounded by negative people, i still believe they can still make a go at being successful. it really depends on the person concerned. the important thing is creating your own personal goal, break them up into small but workable steps, and make a go at it! dreaming about being successful just doesnt work. surrounding yourself with positive and success-minded people will do you good. but you also have to take the necessary steps on your own. acting on those steps to be successful is very important.

yeah. i would really agree with you on that. most of the times the people around us could affect our success. however, some times, it depends upon ourself if we will really push through or not.

hi , i don't agree with you because it depends on how you define success . accordingly success means a wished for ending. so if you wish for a successful career and you attain it now - well to you that would be success. but if you only wish that all your children would grow to be god fearing and good citizen , then that can also be called success.

Hi megamatt, at some point I agree with you because when we are surrounded by people with positive vibes or outlook we tend to be influenced by their good character and achievements. But there are times that you will have no choice with the people that surrounds you like in an office, that they tend to be always negative, always complaining, always trying to find the fault of others. When you're at this kind of situation then might as well motivate your self rather than to be distracted by them. nice post :D

The measure of success is determined by how supportive your network of friends,well wishers,peers and public. In growing uncertainty and complexity of the physical,social,economic and political environment, one needs to get associated with others and build network of relationship to succeed in any sphere of activity.

Yes, you are correct. We can succeed because of the support of those around us. But we still must strive to be successful, although there is no support from those around us.
