men in unisex saloons and parlor

Hi Anny dear I have a barber shop near my home, it is known as 'Laxmi Hair Cutting Saloon', the owner is my age, we are friends, his sons help him too in the job, he cuts my hair since last 5o years Dyes my hair, gives massage, trims nails, hair on my ear lobes (my antenna to connect with almighty, kidding).. The charges are just 50 rupees, a big concession.. I don't visit unisex parlors, too costly.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor

Hi Ann. I get a haircut every month or two usually. I used to go to a unisex salon, but as a child, my mother always took me to a barbers shop. My dad still goes to barbers shops. He would not go to a salon. He is too old fashioned for that. These days though, my wife cuts my hair at home in the bathroom with clippers. I usually start and do as much as I can and then she comes in and finishes it off neatly. It is much cheaper and easier this way. We do the same with our son as well.

Hubby has given all that up and now requires home done hair cuts. Usually the eldest daughter will come and do this, but I got talked into it last time and I told him if he didn't get someone else to do it I would shave his head. Bless him.

In the nine years that I've known my husband, he has never been in a unisex salon or even a barbershop for that matter. The two of us used to go together to get our hair done at the quick service salon for men and women, but then in an effort to save money for our family, we invested in a set of clippers and I actually cut my husband's hair for him. It works out quite well for us and he is just as happy with his hair done here as he is when he pays out of pocket for it.
