The Gopher is EATING my computer!

Hello fellow Mylotters. I think the Gopher is doing something to prevent my pages from loading. I have DSL, yet since I installed this program it feels like I have a dial-up connection with a computer that desperately needs a good defrag! This morning it took about 1/2 hr for a couple of pages to load, and some of them crashed. I had to refresh and wait several minutes. It keeps happening. I hope they can fix this glitch. I wonder if anyone else has the same problem? Is your computer slow to load pages since you installed Cash Gopher?

I can't say that I have noticed any problems since I downloaded the Gopher, just the odd pop up - but then that is what is earning us the money!! I hope you sort it out soon, have you tried running CCleaner on your PC. You download the CCleaner software from their website (http://www.ccleaner.com/) for free and then install it in your system. It covers all Microsoft windows systems including Windows XP and Windows Vista. When it is installed it stays on your system for you to use, as you require. It removes all the unused and temporary files from your system allowing it to run faster, more efficiently and giving you more hard disk space and makes your PC run faster.

Thank you. However, I have that and I run it several times a day. I also defragged the last few days and ran anti virus software. I did not run the windows security suite though. Maybe I will do that.

It sounds as if perhaps the gopher has infected your PC in some way, maybe knock it off and try re down loading it and see if that is anybetter.

Thanks. I finally ran the windows security suite and it found something called hotbar. Perhaps that is the reason for the trouble.

Um. They said that they will use the computer when it is "idle" for their "computing needs" I believe that is the way they put it. So uh. It does mention this in their FAQ's. So if your computer is considered "idle" there you go. I do think they should have the option to turn it on and off when people want to though. I am not sure if this is an option or not.

Thank you! I went into safe mode and ran a few programs, malwarebytes found a bunch of adware so perhaps that is what slowed down my pc. Then again, it could be from the gopher. I just re-installed and will see if there are any more problems.

My computer always seems to act a little whacky but I think it might be in part to how many online sites I am working on at a time. Since I installed the Gopher my computer seems to be running just fine. I noticed a huge jump in earnings from the first day I had it installed to the second day. (More then a quarter more in earnings!) I do however have a Charter connection and maybe that's why I'm not experiencing any problems with the program. I hope you have luck with fixing the problem on your computer because this Cash Gopher program seems like it may have pretty big potential to be another nice earning program. It was also promoted by mylot so I'm definitely trusting in it to be legit and okay for our computers.

The second and third day earnings were much better than the first. Hopefully it continues to go up. I had hoped it was not the gopher messing with my pc, as it does sound like a very good site. I'm going to run something else to make sure my computer is clean.

Hello, Are you sure? Nothing much has changed since I downloaded and installed Gopher. I hope you're system is not infected by a spyware. Please read http://www.bukisa.com/articles/332456_indications-of-a-trojan-infection to detect any anomaly that might be caused by a Trojan or related spyware. You should also try to download some cleaner and clean your temporary folder. If you are using Firefox or Internet Explorer then reduce your cache size to 80-100MB. Look for any background service or process that may be running. Use task manager to survey these processes. Sometimes due to temporary maintainance in ISP things may go crazy. Thanks. God bless you

Yeah, this is a classic sign of Trojan infection.

Thank you. I did find something called hotbar with windows defender, I began installing something from one of those get paid sites but then realized I didn't want that thing and cancelled the download. Even so, it must have stuck around. Hopefully that cures it! While rebooting the computer a message says that there are other users still connected. ---I got that message a couple of days ago when I tried to reboot, before I downloaded the gopher. Gosh, I hope my information is still safe and no one hacked it!

Your machine is infected and can't be cleaned if you're not a microsoft certified expert. So,you save your documents into another external harddisk, and then format the whole computer and install your preferred operating system and preferred anti virus and other applications. No CashGopher never slows down your page load time because cashgopher only works when your processor is free for the computation needed by cashgopher.

Thank you. I ran the windows defender and it found hotbar. It is removed now I hope, and perhaps I will not have any more troubles. To be safe I will run spybot and see if that comes up with anything.

I had a same problem too, for some reason it wrote your computer's browser a proxy... any here is what you should do if you have firefox: Tools---Options---advanced--- Network tab--- press settings and set the proxy to "no proxy"". That should do the trick! If you have internet explorer check your internet options... Hope I helped P.S. Gopher actually has nothing to do with it, I thought it did at first too...

Thanks! I did as you said, but mine is already set to no proxie.....Looks like I will have to go into safe mode. Maybe I should uninstall the Gopher and see what happens. I only made .16 cents yesterday anyway.

it appears to work the same as gomezpeer expect they pay more. It's going on your connection speed uploading and downloading. So there will be drag. You shouldn't notice it that much unless gopher's settings aren't set right.

So far in my case I don't have any problem with my laptop after I installed cashgopher. The only thing I didn't understand how the earnings work. Today from 4days already running my laptop I earn only 2 cents. Not a good income for me. I thought the site will give me positive earnings like mylot but it doesn't happen. I think theirs something fishy with this site. The opportunity not work to all members who installed the software. Maybe it differs also to the country you are located.

My internet is loading extremely slowly as well. It seems to be better now, but this morning it took 5 minutes to load one page. Also, I keep getting this page opened in a new page from Casgopher and it's really annoying...

I can definitely relate to you on this. I installed the program myself and left it running in the background. However, when I tried accessing my emails on yahoo the page would face quite a few problems in terms of loading. So, I uninstalled the software and in the blink of an eye the problems vanished. I think that different people may be experiencing different problems but it's my personal choic not to use the program. I guess Cash Gopher is in its early stages at the present time and My Lot are definitely a team that we can trust. I think that I will concentrate my efforts on My Lot and nothing else. Andrew

I download that gopher already and sudden changes not occur in my computer. Although my system is already old and i need to change many things here and upgrade almost all. Hope that this gopher doesn't give us problem instead of giving us money that we need. Hope that your system will be okay.

I have already uninstalled Gopher a day ago. I just can't stand how this program reduce my page load time. Very frustrating. I don't think its worth enough with a couple of penny that I got. I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but I have many activity with my bandwidth, and Cash Gopher seems monopolize it. For some reasons, I can't accept that. There are many other sites that can earn me money without sacrificing my bandwidth so much. So, I think that's it for me. I just need to uninstalled it, and I did it.
