If you want to see some neat stuff, type in a search for recycling bottle caps with pictures or art and crafts bottle caps with pictures or recycled bottle caps art in pictures or images or illustrations. Any one of those will give you some neat stuff to look at. Until I did that search, I didn't know very many ways to recycle bottle caps. I had only seen some bottle caps used with resin and some objects displayed in the bottle caps, Usually after the objects were put in and then the resin added and allowed to dry, then the cap was made into a pendent or part of a necklace. I saw that on DIY crafts a couple of summers ago, but also there are some currently on Etsy. Well, with this search, I saw mirrors, clocks, a chair, and even a chest of drawers and boxes using bottle caps.
I was just looking for ideas because my husband bought Natural Brew Draft Root Beer (seemed a little watered down or missing some body somehow) with some really nice bottle caps on top. Copper looking with a black pencil looking drawing of a country scene. Arount the outside circle, it says Non-alcoholic microbrew soda Twist Off.
I thought they might make something intersting. Most of the ideas I've seen use the other side of the cap for a pendent or have the caps stacked up so that the writing isn't seen and uses a ton of caps.
So have you ever used bottle caps in crafts? What did you make? Got any ideas for the ones that I described?

I would use a sheet of plywood or other thin scrap lumber and stain it a fruit wood color. Then I would use a good adhesive, fasten the bottle caps in a pattern on the wood and put a small hanger on the back. You could then use this as a trivet in your kitchen when you were not using it you could hang it as decor. If you do not have enough, stick a cork or something in the lid and cut it off even, then glue a strong magnet on back and have fridge magnets for the kitchen.

That sounds like a neat idea. I could put cork on and place caps as I get them. He only bought 4 bottles. We don't drink bottles very often, actually we don't drink soda very often and definitely not from glass bottles with metal caps. But once in a great while . . . and these are nice. Thanks and take care.

You just need something on back so that the magnet will be able to stick to the fridge.

Oh I have little magnet squares. We were able to buy them by the roll at one point. Just pull the little paper off the back and there is a sticky, there. Thanks and take care.

Wow, I need to look up recycling bottle caps and see the finished products. I have seen a coffee table with the top covered in bottle caps and glass on top of the bottle caps. It was really clever. At the time, it was my boss who made it, she brought it into work and several of us saw the finished project.

That seems neat. Another search I did after I made this post was bottle cap art and mosaics came up. The fish were OK, but the portrait was amazing. There are a lot of neat things out there with bottle caps.

No i have not made anything with bottle caps.
But i have seen some nice painted ones and with letters in them.
Small pictures in them. Used as a pendant.
Very unique item though if you can figure out what to do with them
Good Luck.
Hope you can post a pic or two when done

Yes, some of those are pretty. I just saw some mosaics and they were neat, too. But I don't have enough caps for a very big project.
